    Pre chilling for plate chiller.

    I am going to be purchasing a plate chiller shortly and am going to use a garden hose connection for water in. I live in Va and ground water is warm in the summer months. Is there a way to chill the water before sending it through the chiller? I am a total noob when it comes to plate chillers...

    My 8.8% IIPA. Was only supposed to be 7.5%. Wound up with 12 gallons instead of the intended 10 gallons. I love these kind of mistakes. Hopefully they will continue.

    Its prolly best to have it as a stuck mash with that amount of grain would be a real pita.
