I usually dump everything from the kettle into the fermenter, except the bottom quart or so which after the chill is usually mostly yucky stuff. Sometimes i forget though, never noticed any off flavors.

Fermentation looks done on mine as of this morning. Ill check my gravity today or tomorrow and if its where it should be ill start my 6 day dry hop.

I would just dry hop the nibs, i think people have reported less than desireable from boiling them. Ive just spritzed them with stansan and dropped them in the carboy. IIRC, 4 oz wasnt a huge chocolate flavor / aroma, it was there but not huge (like i was wanting.)

Little over 24 hours Ferm chamber is struggling with this one, so i bumped the thermostat down a couple degrees, looks like its crept up to 67, trying to keep it from hitting 68.

Hmmmm they definately said quarter inch and it seems like that what i have. She assured me thats what she uses on her kegs. Ill snap a pic real quick of what i have.

Just called the lhbs and they have braided 1/4" hose and splitters, so i just gotta check my system and make sure 1/4" will fit.

Checked it this morning and it has about and inch or two of krausen. Fermenting at 65-66 it looked like.

Stopping by lbhs today after class. Its a smaller one so hopefully they have the proper lines.
