    Simple Kegged Pom/Apple Cider

So my wife does not like beer. I’ve tried fresh pressed ciders etc. etc. and she never really liked them. I think the key is she likes something a little sweet and lightly carbonated. Once I started kegging I developed this recipe and she has been happy with the results. It is a favorite among...

    Tapcooler counter pressure bottle filler

Not sure if you have seen this thread where I’ve detailed my experience with the Tapcooler. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/bottling-from-the-tap.669365/ I love it. Will probably never use my Last Straw (next to the last straw) bottle filler. regarding your ocd. What I do is do...

    Jester King’s Noble King Clone

Yes. Scroll to the bottom of the recipe link and they give pretty good information about either culturing bottle dregs or using a clean saison yeast and then adding dregs. I would think if you can’t get Jester King in your area using bottle dregs from other beers would produce good results.

    Jester King’s Noble King Clone

https://jesterkingbrewery.com/current-blog/homebrew-recipes Awhile back JK posted some Homebrew recipes of some of their beers. I’m not sure JK makes anything I don’t like but Noble King has always been one of my favorites. I took bottle dregs from one bottle of Noble King and stepped it up...

Dregs Starter with Pellicle - How to Pitch?

I’ve cultured up dregs from Jester King's Noble King to make a Noble King clone. I split a 5 gallon batch half getting the Noble King culture and the other half fermented with Saison DuPont Wyeast 3724. Both beers turned out great. Anytime you are using mixed cultures you need to make sure...

Grey/Gas Quick Disconnect absurdly difficult to attach/remove.

Best thing to do is Call Morebeer and have them help you out. It is possible that keg lube would help but I had one similar to yours that Morebeer replaced. I had ordered two kegs and one of them would not take a gas connection but the other one worked fine. I think sometimes there are...

How to create a flavorful session beer recipe

https://beerandbrewing.com/make-your-best-scottish-export-ale/ I just brewed a Scottish Export that turned out great. Flavorful and easy drinking. I used the article above to formulate my recipe. My beer finished at 4.99%. Which is a little above what you want to brew...

    Bottling from the tap

Correct no O2 purge. This is just quick and efficient for filling Growlers or a few bottles to take and drink that day.

    Bottling from the tap

I’ve documented above my love of the Tapcooler. Today I needed to fill a few swing tops for a friend so I pulled out my growler fill adaptor. I was thinking how Odie used his silicone tube to seal around the bottle to create pressure. I did not have any silicone tubing but thought a rubber...

    Your favorite non-yeast forward Belgian

https://beerandbrewing.com/make-your-best-belgian-pale-ale/ Here is a good article for Formulating a Belgian Pale Ale which should fit your criterial. I would also look for Trappist Single recipes. This is a style that usually you can’t find in a store. Also look for Belgian Breweries from...

Split Batch - Scottish Export and Wee Heavy

I like brewing split batches. Most of the time I’m splitting the wort and using different yeast. Maybe adding candi syrup to one to up the ABV. Today I was brewing a Scottish Export and noticed that the BJCP style guide noted that the Export is similar to a Wee Heavy just lower in ABV. I got...

    Bottling from the tap

I've used the Tapcooler a few times and wanted to give an update. There are a few quirks but for the ease compared to something like The Last Straw (Which I also have). The Tapcooler is perfect for filling a few bottles for competitions, going to friends etc. Today, I bottled two swing top...

    Cream Ale Questions

My cream ale recipe is 52% 6-row 32% Pale Ale Malt (3.5L) 16% Flaked Corn Cluster at 60 minutes for 17 IBU’s 1 oz Cluster at flameout (5 gallon batch) California Lager Yeast (Wyeast 2112) ferment at 63 degrees I’m no expert on grains but I would say from my experience 6-row is closer to...

Using Bernzomatic Oxygen Cylinders for Oxygenating Wort

https://www.homedepot.com/p/questions/Bernzomatic-304179-1-4-oz-Oxygen-Gas-Cylinder/202044702/1 Look at the reply from Bernzomatic to the homebrewing question. They also list a 800 number to call. This is a few years old so not sure if anything has changed with Bernzomatic not sanitizing the...

    Belgian Quad finished?

Are you using a Refractometer or Hydrometer to measure your final gravity. If using a Refractometer you have to account for the alcohol present. https://www.brewersfriend.com/refractometer-calculator/ Also, posting your recipe will help. Is this all-grain? What was your mash temp. What temp...

Here are the directions on the back of the box. I have only used it once but found it easy to disassemble to clean and sanitize. Everything seems to be well made.
