Im 44 but i did start brewing in my early 20s.

made a 20 gallon batch of stout about 15-16 months ago and seperated it into 5 gallon batches and used different yeast in each one. thames valley was one of them. ive not set and tried a side by side but a few guys at the LHBS did and all of them liked thames valley the best.

I lived in wilmington for about 2 years went to washington court house to party with a bud but i was there for a job and pretty much did that and slept while i was there. ive live in quiet a few places in ohio myself

Ok guys im on page 384 and i dont recall anyone trying what im about to ask. has anyone ever seperated the liquid and left that rice/yeast ball/ryr glob in the ferminter to see if it would further break down?maybe leave a little liquid in the ferminter to cover/protectec it? or sanitized water?
