What I did for beer today

Made a stir plate this mourning. 11 dollar fan from amazon. A washer, a hd magnet and a cigar box. Works quite well. Can't wait to get a starter on this thing.

What I did for beer today

Bottled up my 10 gal split batch of pumpkin ale. The s05 batch went into bottles for holiday gifts to the family. And the other batch I fermented with danstar belle saison, that went in the kegerator for myself :-)

Pics of your all grain setup

I mash in the kitchen to save some propane, plus I haven't built a stand yet. Drain into a pot and dump in my keggle on the banjo burner outside. The keggle pic is from my old duplex. Plan on using the small shed in the last pic to brew in as soon as I get some money together to build a stand.

What single change most improved your beer?

I started with a fermentation chamber so a can't realy add there but running my water through a charcoal filter has improved my beer drastically. Also since I started kegging my beer has lost an off flavor I could never quite place. I begun purging my fermenters and kegs with co2 when racking...

    How many brewers also cook?

Yea I say this I think that most brewers like to make things. I make things at work every day and my hobbies share the same trend. But enjoying some good homebrew while I cook a good meal I is one of my favorite things to do.

Haha your welcome. I was very satisfied with the pacman from rva. Just racked to a corny to cold crash and secondary after one week in primary and it tasted excellent. No off flavors just clean. 1.048 to 1.006 in one week. Even more off topic they are currently harvesting strains from local...

Most annoying response when you tell someone you're a homebrewer?

Ill drink any of the bmc beers if someone hands one to me. You probably won't see me buying it though. This forum got a little off topic over the last few pages... just saying... there is a debate forum.
