    Harbor Freight Angle Grinder

NP...For what it is worth if the Harbor Freight one had been on sale for $10 instead of $29 I would have bought it.

    Harbor Freight Angle Grinder

I would by the Porter Cable one for $5 cheaper than the Hitachi. It is 7amp and has a mount for the handle so you can use a jig like this.

    Simple keg cutting rig

This is very nice. I used passedpawn's minimalist jig, but this looks like it might give you a little better control over adjustments.

    Harbor Freight Angle Grinder

I just recently bought an angle grinder for cutting a keg myself. I looked at that Harbor Freight one but it was $29 when I looked at it. I ended up getting this Porter Cable one from lowes for $40. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=36866-79992-PC750AG&lpage=none...

    Star-san in bulk?

This is a slight hijack, but what type of container is everyone keeping their mixed starsan in? The last time I tried to store a batch of it I left it in a carboy and it left a nasty residue.

    Getting A Pump-Did Some Homework

I have been looking at the 809-PL-HS-C from tesco as it seems to be the best deal, but I am not sure if I am missing something? Any + or - to the center inlet?

    Noob Electric Brewer with questions

I have been researching this quite a bit because I am in the middle of building an electric system right now. I won't comment on which element you should use because I think that is really up to you. What I will say is if you decide to use a 3800w 240v element you could get away with a 20 amp...

    My Electric Home Brewery Build

A plug is a good idea I have been going back and forth on that but it probably makes sense. I was planning to hide all the electrical connections in the back so I am not sure about the site glass. I may see if I can find a plug the right size as this would really simplify the electrical portion...

    My Electric Home Brewery Build

looking closely you can see this looks like it was made for 2 elements to bolt in. I am really not sure what elemement configuration I want to use. It is looking like 2 2000w 120v elements in the HLT and 2 4500w 240v elements in the boil kettle. I would prefer to use 2 3000w elements...

    My Electric Home Brewery Build

I have seen Monster Mashes System and drooled over it in the past. Actually his system is what inspired me to search craigslist for pool filters.

    My Electric Home Brewery Build

I have not been able to confirm the exact volume of these but I think Bobby is close. I filled the one with the holes up high all the way up to the first hole and it held 10 gallons so I think to the top is going to be slightly less than 20 gallons. I have been trying to figure out the best...

    My Electric Home Brewery Build

Hello All, I just recently joined this site and I wanted to share my craiglist purchase and get everyones thoughts on my plans. I have not brewed in a few years so I am almost starting from scratch. I didn't have a kettle large enough for full boils etc. So I recently started looking for...

    Donate a RIMS heater photo??

Hey guys. This is my first post here, been lurking for a bit but this thread prompted me to register and post. Now on to the reason for my post. I really like the RIMS heater desing and when I saw it the first thing I thought, was how easy it would be to ground this device vs some of the...
