Maximum Temp sensor RTD cable length?

I was wondering if there is a maximum length on RTD (3 wire) cable that I am using for my temperature sensors. I have a 12 foot cable, but would like to use 25 foot if possible. I can't find information on what the max cable length is. Anyone know? Anyone running 25 foot without problem? Thanks!

Brew Timer - Auber or App?

Thanks Bobby! Honestly the Auber solution (or any of that ilk) just seem too rudimentary & inflexible. I'm more interested in your last comment re: BrewFather. Sounds like BrewFather has a timer... and an IOS app. I'll have to check that out. You pretty happy with BF?

Brew Timer - Auber or App?

Hello Folks.... I am building out a brew panel that I was intending on including an Auber JSL-73B (or similar) timer in, but they seem a bit inflexible and not the most user-friendly. How many of you have found better alternatives? I found this iphone app that piqued my curiosity - Homebrew...

Does a tri clamp to camlock valve exist?

Thanks all for the research & replies. I was just interested in knowing if there was a ball valve that was TC on one side and camlock on the other. I have yet to find one (as a single unit). Since my goal is to rid myself of threaded connections, It appears that the best option is a TC-TC ball...

Does a tri clamp to camlock valve exist?

I have been using a tri clamp valve that has a 1/2" female end that I screw my camlock into. If possible, I'd like to rid myself of threaded componentry if I can. I know there are valves that are tri clamp on both sides, but I was just curious if anyone makes a valve that is tri clamp (tri...

    New 240v drop being installed

I've got a licensed electrician coming in to install a new 240v outlet in my garage. I'm a 5 gallon brewer who will most likely not go beyond that (but never say never!), and my plan is to go all electric. 240v is new to me, and I have read the primer that is stickied to this forum. My question...

    Pump for CIP passivation

Hello folks, I'm looking for a pump that I could use for general brewing that would also be capable of being used to passivate through a CIP (with a rotating head). It sounds like most march pumps do not have the pressure to work a rotating head CIP. Most sump pumps are not rated for higher...

Adding a new welded TC Port

I've chose to go with SS Brewtech for my homebrewery a few years back, and have their kettles/fermenters/etc.... I was thinking about having an additional TC port welded onto the rear of my kettle for an electric element. Has anyone had luck going to a welding shop and having one installed? If...

Stainless steel basket for BIAB brewing- cheap!

Wow, my apologies. I missed the first response. Here are some pictures. Note, I have the 10gallon Bayou post listed here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SKU4PE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The internal diameter of this pot is 13.6 inches, and only the small basket...

    Ipb-16s replacement sensor

Thanks BannonB. I'm still perplexed (and bummed) that the unit doesn't support pt100. It seems like there are so many inexpensive pt100 probes out there. I've got a dealer on Ali that I asked to quote me on building a custom NTC probe. I'm hoping that turns out to be a cheaper option (~$12...

    Ipb-16s replacement sensor

@bannonb, if my understanding is correct, the 16s is not compatible with pt100, only NTC. Normally, the connector you would want is this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06WRRGYMM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 However I have not been able to get it to work with either of...

    Ipb-16s replacement sensor

I was not able to get my PT100 to work on my 16s. I've been looking for a waterproof threaded replacement for the standard sensor as an upgrade, but the selection seems sparse compared to all the PT100s out there. Good luck Aress.... Did you go with a replacement OEM sensor?

    Inkbird IPB-16S and PT100

I recently purchased a IPB-16S assuming it was the next generation of the IPB-16. I like most of the updates over the original, however the change in sensors and sensor support has me bummed. I was hoping to upgrade the sensor to a different PT100. However if I am correct, the 's' model now...

    Camp Chef Explorer 3-Burner Stove

This may be a little non-traditional, but I've seen enough unique setups from homebrewers to know that someone out there might be able to make use of this as part of their brew rig. Cabelas/BassProShops are selling a 3-burner camp stove for $129. Amazon has it for $229. The burners rate at...
