    Jaybird Level 3 False Bottom

I found my answer here but if anyone would like to add their experiences with pellet hops it would be appreciated. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f41/jaybirds-stainless-false-bottoms-146056/index22.html

    Jaybird Level 3 False Bottom

I am considering adding a false bottom to my keggle (kettle) with Jaybird's level 3 filter stand and I would like to hear from people who use this system with pellet hops. I am currently using a hop spider and a plate chiller but I would like to upgrade to a system that I can just throw my...

A quick google search found this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVgFoEoYq_Y#t=95

    Clear My Beer

Well, I don't know what to say about you being to Belgium and have "never seen anyone swirl up the yeast". Apparently my experiences have been vastly different from yours. I'll take it one step further to add that I have seen on many, many occasions the bartender pouring the beer, swirling...

Canadian source for cheaper 2 row?

That makes more sense. IMO, that is still a great price and much cheaper than I'm getting in Wpg. I'll be curious to hear what other Canadians are paying. I think you'll find you are getting a deal.

Canadian source for cheaper 2 row?

$50 for 55lb of 2 row is a fantastic price IMO. I pay approx $60 a sack here in Wpg and I thought that was cheap. You'll be hard pressed to find it any cheaper anywhere, including south of the border. I just noticed you typed 50kg? These sacks are usually sold in 55 lb bags. IF in fact you are...

    Clear My Beer

I guess you've never been to Belgium. The swirl and pour is customary pretty much in all corners of the country. I know it is most often not practised in North America but it certainly is in Belgium.

    Clear My Beer

Personally, I think you'll strip some flavour from the beer if you try to clear it. As I'm sure you already know, Belgian Ales should be cloudy. The suspended yeast add so much flavour that makes this style so unique. Belgians poured from the bottle should be given the swirl and pour method to...

How old is your oldest beer? (And is it drinkable)

I have some Belgian ales that are a couple of years old now. They are fantastic!

    Guiness is Overated

And the cans are brewed in Dublin. Cans are really good IMO.

    Guiness is Overated

Guinness is awesome IMO. The bottles suck though. It's cans or draft only for this kid.

    Ready to keg

Wait. You say you don't want to force carb? Then don't put the keg in the fridge until its carbed. You'll want to carb at room temp, then put the keg in the fridge and set the regulator to serving pressure. Not sure why you wouldn't want to force carb it though, unless your regulators are...

Cloudy Or Clear --- And Why?

Not only does a clear beer look better but it also tastes better.

    Koncrete Keezer Build.

Very well done. Impressive! Your choice of beer could use some work though! :)

Measuring chest freezer for a collar.

When deciding if you want the collar to over hang keep in mind that your tap handles need to clear the lid of the freezer. This of course will depend on the length and style of the tap handles you are using.

    Looking for a "Caramel" Beer

The hop schedule gets me to 10 IBUs? Is that right? Seems awfully low.

    Cold!!!

I woke up to -28 celcius (-19 F) today. A cup of coffee and a long dip in the hot tub was nice way to start the day.
