    What are you drinking now?

Good to see you back. You should be drinking the Angry Hanks Street Fight. I thought that Coors Light already counted as NA by default.

What I did for beer today

Rearranged and moved the cabinet holding the few remaining important pieces of beer glassware that I own, so that my cat, paradoxically fat / nimble can't jump on it and onto a higher adjoining cabinet and cause mass destruction. This was only tangentially for beer, I guess. Found a set of...

    Dry yeast swap

Have two packets of T-58 (6/24 expiration), one packet of Belle Saison (9/24 expiration) that I'd like to swap for Diamond Lager, 34/70, S04, S05, Lutra. Just about anything. Packets have been kept frozen. I fully accept and would be fine with similarly expired product, since I just used an S-04...

IBU question - lager vs Kolsch

At Toms River Brewin g, Toms River NJ. Tried 5 oz samples of a pale lager 30 IBU (which did taste like a lager, not a pale ale), and a Kolsch 18 IBU,- lager did not taste appreciably more bitter than Kolsch (pictured). Color looked very similar, but they were clearly different beers. I'm a...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Helped a friend brew his WCIPA entry for Garden State Beer Co's homebrew competition. Two-row, Caravienna + other unknown malts, Mosaic, Amarillo and Galaxy. Looked and smelled like a winner.

Rogue Shakespeare or Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout?

I hopped with First Gold and pitched S04, kept it cool at ~62. Bottled 10 days ago. I think St. Pats will be the test. I will update.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

I looked up a recipe for the Skibsol you just brewed. Thinking of trying that, or maybe the one you pro-ammed last year. The idea of a smoked beer sounds very appealing to me; whether I can execute it or not is another matter entirely.

    What are you drinking now?

Hoppy witbier at Obscura Brewing, Cape May Courthouse NJ. Interesting; almost like a white ale.

As light beers go, not bad. But I'm from Jersey and have drank more than my share of Yuengling; mostly Black & Tan.

    What are you drinking now?

The guy I brew with pulled out a mini keg of the last batch of my Spaceballs schwarzbier recipe that we brewed on his rig. Can't even recall when this was, but it's delicious.
