Which step bit and weldless bulkhead to get for adding spigot to stainless kettle?

That would likely work.. but If you're at all handy, or can follow instructions, I can't recommend enough using pull-through/soldered fittings at brewhardware.com https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=556844 bulkhead fittings tend to be a pain -- breaking them down, putting them...

    Herms temp drop

lots of things going on here. :rockin: I'm no expert, so take with a grain of salt. it is definitely a possibility that you could have many contributing factors going on. since you're getting stuck sparges your mash temp controll problem could be due to a lack of flow through the...

    Stir plate needed for starter?

I'm not an expert, but making a starter the night before a brew doesn't seem like you'll have enough time to make it worth it, even with a stir plate. it usually takes 24hr or so for me to get a good cold-crash after the yeast do their thing for a couple days. the yeast may do the...

Glass beads to separate wort from mash ?

bazooka screen is just a stainless steel woven mesh.. here is a quickie video that shows how to make one out of a SS reinforced water supply line: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Goi0KHx9Ss and here is an example of a purpose-made one...

I'm interested to see how you plan to separate the beads from your spent grain.

glycol help with valves and temp controllers

I'd sure be interested to see the details of your system.. it looks like where I intend to go. though I do have to qualify, I'm not the OP and I don't intend to run a pro-level brewery. :tank:

glycol help with valves and temp controllers

For my loop i used a standard gate valve to restrict the flow from the supply side to the return side so that i could have one pump running continuously to circulate glycol in the chiller and so that the relative pressure on the supply side would bias flow through the valves when they open...

glycol help with valves and temp controllers

I've no experience with the size system you are talking about. I currently ferment in 15.5g Sanke kegs using a glycol chiller loop for temp control. (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?p=8013716) essentially I do exactly what you have described. I have my chiller constantly pumping...

    Another glycol chiller fermentor

I finished my first two batches through the glycol controlled system. not without troubles unfortunately. First off I have to give props to the coolzone brew jacket. That thing works like a champ! it's easy to put on, easy to hook up, easy to take off.. just easy overall. a word of...

    It's time for a chugger...maybe

Generally i run water through mine. I use one pump exclusively for sparge water so no cleaning really necessary. The other i use for pumping wort and recirculation for cooling. I run water through for a couple minutes to flush. I'll take them apart every couple brews for a good cleaning...
