    Glycol/swamp kegmenter combo

I did read that thread, and it looks simple enough. My concern, and probably shouldn't be a concern at the homebrew level, but would the thermal transfer be more efficient in a liquid bath versus transfer through the plastic wall of the hose? Or is that a non-issue?

    Glycol/swamp kegmenter combo

Tried searching the interwebs, but have not found much. What I'd like to do is ferment in an old sanke. I'd like to solder a 4" tc in place of the original opening with a mechanism for blow off and pressure transfer - NOT looking to pressure ferment, only 2-5 psi to move the beer to serving...

    Viking malts

In my experience, just binge brewed a rye ipa, Munich helles, and hefeweizen. All three used Viking pilsner and Viking specialty malts when possible. Yeasts were us05, 34/70, and Munich classic respectively, all fermented in the recommended temps. The flavor is lacking in all three beers. Each...

    New Sanke fermenter build

Have you pressurized this vessel? Where did you source the TC ferrule? Did you dimple the opening or just solder with no modification?

    So who's brewing this weekend?

10 gallons of my Munich helles brewed up today. 3rd time brewing this recipe, first time brewing 10 gallons. Went ok I think. Have two 5 gallon carboys in my keezer now, no room for serving kegs for a couple weeks now. :(

    Closed transfer went wrong :/

If you hadn’t allowed the fermenter to be open for an extended period of time (allowing excessive oxygen ingress), you will be fine. The headspace of the fermenter should be full of co2, so injecting co2 into a co2 blanket should be a non issue.
