I picked up a 6 pack of new glarus o'fest and it is very good but nothing stand out different from spaten or SA. I've only tried 4 and so far paulner imo has the o'fest this year. I'll pick up some harvest this weekend.

Stone is usually against against because of lost hop freshness over time. I'm pretty sure with stone bow the beer tastes now is how thy intend it to be drank.

I like a few Belgium darks or dark strong but in general they aren't my cup of tea. Stinks too cause it seems like the majority of my home brew club are all in a Belgium phase.

At my local booze store they had a special section of oktoberfest beers. They also have for $11 1 liter paulner steins that come with a 1 liter can of beer in the mug. It's "the official mug and beer of the 200th Oktoberfest". I bought two I mean $11 for just the mug is a steal let alone the...

I tried it, liked it but would not buy again. I'm not a hop head but appreciate high ibu beers. I cooed still taste bitter hops the next morning and even had a beer after.

I usually primary for 10-12 days before racking and have no issue waiting longer. I'm going to dry hop this beer so will secondary at some point.

I just figure there is more to it. I dunno just being paranoid. Guess I should chill, i've had mead ferment off one smack pack.

About a week ago I brewed up a brown ale that came to a OG of 1.070 and just tossed in a smack pack that I smacked 4 hours or so ahead of time. Its been 7 days and i'm almost at FG but i'm starting to regret the no starter. What do you think?

Shame all the oktoberfest beers come so early. I mean i'm happy I bought my couple cases to drink for awhile but I should have already session'd some marzen a couple times before august if over. p.s. tried Spaten Marzen and it = super good.

I've only had Sam Adam's, Spaten and Paulaner and I my favorite so far is the Paulaner. Even though I bought a case of sam adam's and a case of spaten to drink through the fall....they were $20 a case at sam's club I just couldn't pass it up.
