    All grain help

So I've done a few dry malt extract beers, come out really nice, thought I'd try a Guinness all grain from my brew shop, first time I'd used my set up only a 5 gal, on the instructions sent says I should yield 11.2 litres of liquor from the mash, only I got to 10 litres and it was still a lovely...

Clear beer hazy in the fridge?

I did use a wort chiller, cooled down to 27*c in 15 mins so didn't take long, if I leave them out of the fridge will the same process occur or does it have to go in the fridge for this to happen? Thanks for your replies

Clear beer hazy in the fridge?

Hi, I bottled my beer 2 weeks ago, tried a bottle after a week as it was my first brew and I couldn't wait! Lots of hoppy flavours! Looking through the bottles the beer is crystal clear, I then put the bottled beer into my beer fridge and it seems to haze up? Is this normal? Should I leave it...

Can i re-use my sanitary water?

Hi, I've recently finished a batch of beer and I knocked up 60ltrs of warm water in a tub and sanitised my bottles and bottling bits in, but I don't want to throw it away if I can reuse it on the next batch, it has a lid on top, have noticed its all dropped to the bottom but if I add warm water...

Do you have to add sugar when bottling?

I'm from the uk and its a kinver half centurion OG 1047 FG 1008 5%, EBU 45 EBC 12, meant to be quite a nice beer, I think I'll just wait at the moment for the bottling process to take its course, I am interested in the legging method though, I haven't researched that at all, what would be the...

Do you have to add sugar when bottling?

Thanks for your replies, so the 2 weeks of fermenting will be up in 2 weeks, I'm new to brewing so bottling is the obvious road I'm going down for cost, I've got a full size fridge set up in my garage ready for the beer/keg if needed, if fermentation is complete within the 2weeks and I did get a...

    New brewer help!

Yeah I did stir it in well, just checked the OG and it read 1044, the recipe says 1047 so I'm not far off, quick question, do I have to stay by while the boil is on all the way through? Or do you pop in and out, I was worried it would boil over so I stayed with it all the way through but is this...

    New brewer help!

Yeah I thought I'd done something wrong with the reading of .70 when it should have been .48! I did the extract because I wanted to go through the brew and not complicate it too much, I've got a all grain kit ready to go ill do that in a week or so
