So the head space (or lack there of) in the 5 gal carboy isnt going to hinder my batch beyond losing a portion of the batch to blow off?

I think I know the answer to my question but is a 5 gal carboy suffecient as a primary for a 5 gal batch? All of my 6.5 gal carboys are in use right now and had to resort to using a 5 gal. Am I asking for trouble? I just made the batch yesterday so it hasnt started actively fermenting yet...

I couldnt pick 1 favorite beer, but I could pick a brewery: New Belgium. Oddly enough, not one of their beers would be my all-time favorite (although Fat Tire and 2* Below are good beers), but they are just so consistant as a whole - for all their styles.

That's a good kit! I like to dry hop it with an oz of fuggle hops. It kicks it up a bit.

I dunno how it is in MN, but in OK - toms can be seen year around until opening day, then it's like they vanished. Not one to be found. Smart little ****ers.
