    SSR Amperage

Maybe it's not even an SSR...just a small, empty plastic box. :-)

    SSR Amperage

The difference is that they might last longer. You will be using the SSR's close to 22 AMP, thats far from the maximum current. :ban:

How to build a Brewing Control Panel - HERMS 240V 30 AMP

I did not count. Just look up the parts and add $40 for wires, connectors,... Somewhere in $500 I would say.

    Whirlpooling or Hop-Stopper

I was impressed how my clogged hop bag changed IBU'S. I made an IIPA, 120 IBU. I'm having a glass of that brew right at the moment and I would say....I can taste around 60 IBU's. I will not use hop bags again. :rockin:

    Whirlpooling or Hop-Stopper

I was using a spider all the time and it worked well. Make sure to change the bag often! I did use the same nylon bag for 6 month and got a sweet IIPA. Seems to be it got clogged.

    Whirlpooling or Hop-Stopper

Thanks for the answer! I will go the whirlpool way. I have no CFC at the moment and I plan using the HERMS coil as chiller. It seems to be a good idea to chill and whirlpool at the same time. My water comes out at 50F, so I guess it should work quiet well.

    PID alarm wire help ITC-100/106

Hi, I have my ITC-106 wired in but it seems that I don’t get the alarm part to work. I’ve wired the buzzer to #11 and 12# but there is no output when the relay is triggered. Do I have to place a jumper between #12 and #10 or should current be provided on #12 without the need of a jumper...

    Whirlpooling or Hop-Stopper

Hi all, I’m in the process of building my electric HERMS system (5-10gal, 30 amp). I’m unsure which way to go when it comes to wort / hop and trub filtering. I either buy a Hopstopper , or I’ll go the whirlpool way. Who has experience with whirlpooling on an E-HERMS system? Does that...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Hi there, I've brewed up this recipe pretty much like in the original post. I’m an all grain brewer and that was my first cider. I’m more a beer drinker and I don’t think that I’ve tasted a lot of ciders yet. Now I had this fermenting for 2 weeks and 4 weeks in the keg...

    Filtering before kegging.

    1. Some filters can be reused. Most likely plated filters can be cleaned by back flushing and sanitized by heating in hot water. You have to check with the manufacturer before heating up a filter. Some other filter, you wont be able to reuse as you cant get them clean after the first use. 2. The...
