    Man, I love Apfelwein

    I let mine set for 12 weeks in primary then I bottled half still and half carbed. For the carbed I let set for 3 weeks min. I did try one at 1 1/2 weeks and it was good. I used Notty yeast.

    my recipe doesn't say what the FG should be.... So what should it be? Also the owner of the HBS shop sayed for the yeast was to keep it in the fridge till I get ready to brew then get it out and let it set at room temp. for bout 3-6 hours is that all I need to do.

    Easy Good Cider Recipe for Newbie

    1- No Preservatives 2- Thats ok to use 3- Expriement with different ones... I have even used Nottingham for some Apfelwein turned out good 4- For my Apfelwein 2 months 5- Low to Mid 70's is what I have used....... Maybe some other people could give you a little more detail. I am a newbie also

    Watch out for wild fermentation. You may need to put a blow off tube on. Just keep a check on it.
