False! Think about what was in those kegs before you had them...got it now....SODA! Often times root beer. It's the rubber you'll need to change. Sure, you'll need to clean out the kegs, but you should be doing that anyway. Beverage line, well there's a different item all together.

I think the key is to make sure you have no leaks. If you do, they will go flat over time. But what is your reasoning for wanting to take the gas off?

I'm with Homer on this. I've done a few comparisons with the Refractometer and the Hydro. Using the conversion spread sheet from More Beer (I think that's who's it is) they resulted in the same reading.
