    low alcohol

I made my last brew the same as all the rest. Put the same amount of sugar...etc..... Either our alcohol tolerance is getting better or it's pretty weak. We each had 7 or 8 and we weren't really feeling much. It bubbled and went on like normal. Any thoughts???? IGOR

    Tubing for Keg Question

The 3/16 will work without problems, and will prevent less foaming than the 1/4 due to the resistance/loss along the line. Remember for every 2psi you keg is set at you need about 1 foot of 3/16 inch (12 psi = 6 feet) and for 1/4 inch tubing you need about 5 to 6 times as much. Give or take...

It's Mother's day so call your Mother!!! There!!! I did a quick search for this but nothing for oxygen came up. I'm using a one step no-rinse santizer call "OXY-SAN". I've used it for the last five batches and everything seems to be working well. I really like the no-rinse part...

How much priming sugar in a CO2 setup...

I would just leave it in the secondary until you are ready to keg. Others, and myself, have left a batch in the secondary for 2-3 months without any problems. Just wait until your ready and do it the way it should be done. If you are going to add sugar to the batch now, you will get all...

    Early Birthday Present!

I would dismantle them and replace all of the o-rings. Probobly cost you about $5 each one, so It's well worth it. There are five orings in total. the big one around the cover, the two on the posts/locks and two under the posts where the tube go down (just unscrew the posts). As for the...

10 things i learned removing lables last night....

I just use my SWMBO's scrapbooking stamps and put different stamps and colours on the caps, then just keep a record of which stamp is for each kind. Works OK and she has about a billion colours and stamps to choose from. IGOR

    Carbonation stone and aquarium pump

You can get the oxygen tanks normally at a hardward store like HD or Lowes, or Canadian Tire up here in Canada. There usually located around the small blue propane tanks, and have the same shape, except they are red. IGOR

is this type of bottle ok to use?

I've never seen them used for wine, but they are great for beer. Just make sure to sanatize the cap and o-ring, and check the o-ring for cracks that would cause sealing problem. Also, make sure you keep them in the dark, because the green bottle will not keep the light out and henceforth...

    Why won't it stop bubbling?

If it's still bubbling it's still working away.....just leave it alone. IMO!! My Amber Ale is doing the same thing and it was one week in the primary and 2 weeks and one day in the secondary and bubble are still rising to the top. IGOR

    How to?

you should set the PSI to about 12 psi and then let it sit for about 4 days. This psi value is for a temperature of about 38-40 F. Check out this this web page for details. http://www.neatbrewingideas.ca/faq/carbonation.htm IGOR
