agreed, I had some that the krausen dropped off in a few days, and I have had one or two that it lasted over a week. Im not sure if that yeast is a top yeast or not but it is it a different one than you are used to? perhaps you are used to bottom yeast.... What temp is it fermenting at?

damn.. I was hoping.... i had done a little searching and had seen that some people had thought it was possible becuase they have smaller tri-clamp fittings and gave some links to brewers hardware and some other sources.

have a chance to get a great deal on a blichmann conical, but it has the standard fittings. I really want tri clamps, so i was wondering if anyone knows if they can be upgraded? In the end its not the worst thing, but why not upgrade if i can.

For $154 that isnt bad at all, i was looking at the ones listed on Kal's website for more than twice that! Thats why I was wondering if it was worth going the stainless route. P-J does have a list that is VERY good, I am just trying to wrap my head around how many I need of each thing.

At that price I would say its hard to beat. If it looks and functions like Kal's then i may just dip into reserves and dig up the rest. Im beginning to debate if the Stainless pumps are worth it for the price i have seen them.
