For the Evabarrier & DuoTight folks

Well it makes everything more stable. There's enough resistance turning on/off the valves everything flexes. And there's a third dimension the gauges are mounted with two screws "solid" the valves, tees, and elbows are floating, these little clips are screwed down and the components snap in...

How many pounds of roasted coffee in 2022?

Just noticed this sub, been focused on beer lately. Been roasting coffee for a while, buy my beans from Sweet Maria's mostly. Just me so I usually roast 12 oz or so a week. Wife is hooked on Peets Sumatra decaf. All the decaf I've roasted for her she complains about so let her buy it. I lean a...

For the Evabarrier & DuoTight folks

OK probably my last change until I add a fourth gauge/valve. In retrospect I'd space the components a little further apart to make it easier to get the EVA barrier tubing inserted, luckily it's pretty flexible. Someone commented about the locking clips, you can see them in the photo, makes me...

Picked these up from my son-in-law

Yes they are, I’ll make a trip to hardware store today to pick up correct screws to mount them later today. I've used John Guest fittings for my espresso machine filter, leak detector/shutoff setup and am using the "red" clips on that. I'll post a picture of the finished gas board later today.

For the Evabarrier & DuoTight folks

So I made some changes to my gas board, a couple times and at least one more tomorrow after I make a trip to the hardware store to acquire the right size screws to mount the valve and tee/elbow holders. From the original poster "khannon" I sent the link to my son-in-law and he printed me these...

    Change to gas board

I thought it was cool (pun intended) to put my gas board inside my kegerator. But that had many problems like 1. Couldn’t fit four kegs 2. Had to get down on my knees with a flashlight to see the tiny Kegland gauges 3. Needed to open the door. So I bit the bullet and mounted it on the wall...

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

I have a Monster Mill MM3, a Spike brew kettle, and Blichmann Brew Commander, so I do buy USA made. I just thought the Pill was worth buying.

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

I researched a bunch and the Pill just seemed like it had a better feature set; wifi, blue tooth, temperature, and wifi signal level tracking. Plus the Pill enclosure being smooth, dual o-rings it seals good, a common 18650 LiOn battery and Cloud IoT data storage available from any device. Check...

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

I come from a technical background so the ability to keep track of fermentation while it's in progress remotely interested me. The OG I measured with my hydrometer and the temperature I saw with my InkBird was ~ equal to what the rapt app reported. This is my first fermentation with the Rapt...

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

I have to admit some of the setup behavior seems early production. I couldn't change metric to imperial c/f in the user profile, though it displays the data in the graph in fahrenheit/imperial. But I'm persistent, before retirement I was a wireless network engineer/QA. So I've seem my share of...

    What are you drinking now?

Just finished a Zoom beer tasting with co-owner head brewer of Crooked Lane Brewery in Auburn, CA. facilitated by local brew club BAM. Some tasty beers not available in our local market SF Bay Area, but gives me a good reason to visit Auburn.

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

I bought it via AliExpress, took ~< a month to get it and paid $99 free ship. Kegland doesn't ship to the US and none of the distributors have it yet. Initally Kegland sold it for $49 then $69 but still can't get it. AliExpress was it. So far I like it.

Kegland Rapt Pill floating hydrometer temperature monitor

So I've had my Rapt Pill for a couple of weeks but wasn't until yesterday I was able to put it into action in my Fermzilla. Initially had a couple of head scratching moments but now it's working great and the data it reports is pretty accurate. It's supports both bluetooth and wifi, displays...

I replicated that somewhat on a smaller scale. I re-drilled the holes to more center the valves on the board. I only have a need for three valves currently but can add one more if needed.

cold crashing in a corny keg what temperature, then carbonate at what pressure

Thanks for the detailed reply. I did use Biofine 1 tsp once near end of fermentation and another 1 tsp just before transferring to keg. This is my first kegerator and only second time I kegged. I like serving IPA (last keg) at 41-43, I only have the temp at 36 for cold crash and attempt to...

cold crashing in a corny keg what temperature, then carbonate at what pressure

OK pretty new to kegging, I just close transferred my beer to a corny keg. It's in the kegerator now at 36 degrees. It was mostly pressure fermented and fermentation was done IMO, hydrometer readings static for a couple days. So my question is related to cold crashing. How long should I...
