Should I shake my bottles immediately after batch priming??

I have used the Revvy method each time (rack onto half of my priming solution and then pour the other half into bottling bucket when half the beer is left to rack)... Has worked every time and everything has had even carbonation.

I could use some advice on my resume

This response actually turns me off when I am interviewing someone. While I know it is not a universal truth, I feel that it is up to the me to progress my own career not my boss. It is not my job to completely lay out a yellow brick road to promotions. You have to earn it. Now I am...

I could use some advice on my resume

H, First off, I would recommend looking for a new job while you deal with the pain that is your current job. Suck it up, play nice, collect your check and search for a new job. It would be silly to leave money on the table in these times. As to what to say during an interview, I would try to...

My Hydrometer and my Face: Like Magnetic Poles

Spot on! Happens every time and just happened to me 3-4 times about 5 minutes ago! When in doubt, it always looks like 1.014 to me!

    Fartiest Fermentation Yet!

The crazy thing is this is in the unfinished part of my basement behind a door, down the stairs and behind another door and the main floor of the house still stunk! Much better this morning, although I may have just become accustomed to the fartiness.

    Fartiest Fermentation Yet!

Wow... This Wyeast 1010 American Wheat has fart-bombed my whole house! Pitched about 24 hours ago and I'm afraid to light the stove with this much gas floating through the house. SWMBO is not too happy either... Hee hee hee!

My DIY Double Barrel Wort Chiller

Finally used this for the first time yesterday... It worked great. Brought 5.5 gallons down to pitching temp in about 20 minutes, but I really had the hose on a trickle as I was collecting the hot h2o output in some used cornies I just got to work on cleaning out the syrup. I think I could...

    First filled day!

First BIAB, first time brewing outside, first full boil, first boil over, first time using DIY wort chiller! Woohoo! It's the American Wheat Kit from Northern Brewer so maybe I will have my first fermentation bucket explosion too!

This would make an awesome keezer...

    New (old) fridge

I'd put holes in it! Would only look cooler with a couple of Perlicks on the front of it!

    Brew Dog?

Save a mutt! Our unknown breed (definitely mostly some sort of hound dog) is the best. For the most part, I keep her away from the brewing festivities, although some spent grain doggie treats may be in order soon.

Fantastic. I always forget about The Onion. Just my type of sarcastic humor too!

The other thing I did was download a free rubber stamp font (link below) to add the brew and bottling dates. I really love how this looks and it is nice to keep track of these dates when bottle conditioning and celebrating brew date anniversaries! http://www.dafont.com/stampete.font

Post your Dog Inspired Logo's and/or Brewery Names

Believe it or not, I actually am just using Powerpoint 2007. It is what I am comfortable with and actually makes copying and pasting new labels super easy. I created the Birdie Brew logo by scanning/digitizing/coloring (using GIMP) a black and white cartoon of my dog that my wife drew. I then...

All this Catahoula talk has me excited for my trip to New Orleans this weekend! French Quarter Fest... To stay a little more on topic, here is my label for my Kentucky Puppy Porter (which really was just the Northern Brewer Bourbon Barrel Porter kit!)
