    Tasting brew

    1st time brewer. Beers been in the carboy for 7 days. Just took a gravity reading. 1.020 down from 1.049. It smelled like beer, looked like beer, but tasted like ****. Should it taste anything like beer at this point? Help! Worried that it's not going to be ok

    Ok next dumb question... After I ferment for 2-3 weeks in my carboy, I should put it in another fermenter? I thought I ferment for 2-3 weeks then transfer to my bottling bucket with a spigot, add sugar then bottle

    I put my grains in the bag but didn't tie it off properly. Once it boiled it got away from me and the bag opened. Grains everywhere.
