Is it strange for a LHBS to store their hops unrefrigerated?

You think maybe this is just a display of the hops they carry just so people can see what's available? If they don't refrigerate them there's no way I'd buy from them.

Made a Starter but Brew Day is Delayed for One Week

Just put a airlock on it or foil and shove it in the fridge. When brew day comes get it out in time for it to warm up in time to pitch. You can decant off the liquid and just leave enough to shake the yeasties free that way you don't have to pitch the whole 2L.

    Spade Connectors for PID's?

OR you could just use the connector pictured below, I can't verify 100% without seeing the actual part but I'd be willing to bet these would work and you wouldn't need to solder if you were close enough to whatever you're connecting to with crimp connectors. They're only a buck fifty so...

What to buy in Kansas City?

Depends which side of town you are on. Man you're making me miss KC!! I lived there for 7 years before I moved to Cumblous OH. Anyway, if you're on the KS side check out Lucas Liquors, they'll have a great selection as well. And I forgot about RedX in Parkville, it's a weird place but...

will it be drinkable by New Years Eve?

It MIGHT be carbed by then. Keep as close to 70 as possible, higher is better than lower in this case. They will likely have some carb, but won't be all the way there just yet. From everything I've read the rule of thumb is 3 weeks bottle conditioning. Your beer will clear at least some...

    How to clear my beer?

For cold crashing you want to get close to freezing for a couple days. If you have room in your fridge or kegerator if you have one that's the best bet. Good luck!

Dallas one wire and connector question

I probably should have posted the question in 2 OP's but the connector I was looking for was the one that is pictured, it's attached to my motorized ball valves. I found out that there is no wire to wire mate for this type, just a PCB connector. I was able to find an alternative wire to wire...

    Three E's Electric Brewery Build

Not a whole lot to report, SWMBO had a honey do list I spent 12 hours on last Saturday then Sunday she spent 8 hours shopping so I got to take care of the seven month old monkey man. I did discover I needed to order more wire to connect my 2 and 3 way motorized ball valves, one more thing...

    GFCI keeps blowing

:off: Kind of, I have potted elements that I haven't hooked up yet so I can't speak to the JB weld GFCI issue. If I do have tripping issues I'd like to go with Kal's solution (hadn't run across it when I potted mine). Is it possible, or even worth it to try and clean the JB weld off the...

Dallas one wire and connector question

I need a wire to wire connector. I have all my valve wiring terminating in my panel to a waterproof D-sub 25. From there I have a cable that will plug into another D-sub 25 on my frame. The wiring will run in the frame to each valve. I won't have the time or cash to do my final metal frame...

Dallas one wire and connector question

Checked the specs and they aren't there, but I got part of the info I was looking for and contacted the manufacturer and these have to be plugged into a PCB connector, there's not a wire to wire for this type. Thanks anyway!

Dallas one wire and connector question

Ah, gotcha on the scale Not ignorance regarding brewtroller platform, just didn't know, I'm the ignorant one :D Here's a couple pics to help with scale. The wiring is for my 3 way motorized ball valves and a couple 2 way as well.

Dallas one wire and connector question

I'm getting ready to wire my stand, control panel is done but I'm not sure I understand how to wire the temp sensors using the Dallas one wire daisy chain topography. I have 2 XLR connectors that will each lead to 3 sensors for a total of 6. Is it as easy as running the wire from the XLR...

    Spade Connectors for PID's?

if you're talking about the 4 pins towards the bottom of the photo I'd bet these would work. You can email a photo of your SSR to the guys at http://www.oscsys.com/ and make sure but I think these are the right ones.
