Ok. So in fairness to white labs I decided to email them about it. 30 minutes after email they are going to be sending out a new one via overnight. So glad they made it right, and renewed my excitement in getting to try this yeast.

Yeast arrived Tuesday morning. Little over 12 hours into starter and nothing at all so far. Not typically a pessimist but not holding out much hope. Stinks as I really wanted to try this one.

Quick update: I've decided I'm in for this year. Extended the existing work trip and really excited now !!! Hope to meet many of you and looking forward to a couple days devoted to my favorite hobby !!!

During my thaw out when mine froze I decided to add a small fan at the bottom along with an Eva-Dry. Temps seem to stay more consistent even in this summer heat now. I have the fan wired to come on only during the cooling cycle so it’s not running 24/7.
