Good point, so 28x28 mesh with .01 wire equals .0257 in opening, which is 652.78 micron, 300 micron for reference is .0118 in opening

28x28 mesh is around 620 microns. Mesh size is just another measure system.

I went with 500 micron spider for better flow. It may look like only hop, but a lot of break and trub. Just the hops color it. I like the two filter method works for me and I get amazing flow still.

    trub filter

Read the link, last post previous page, describes the build. It is not a dome, but a sandwich with a dip tube in it. The large surface area on top filters a lot, screen below tube gets the rest. Kal at the electric brewery has some more info on it also. The trick with these is to slow the...

    trub filter

https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/hop-quesadilla.305073/ This works for me, the break material and small hop debris from a filter bed on the screen. I get super clean wort. You be amazed at what it stops, even with a hop spider I also use the 500 micron hop spider also for hops. I...

    Philadelphia bulk grain interest?

Has not been one in 4-5 years. The south Jersey group was active till about a year ago. I have found the prices at my lhbs are decent enough that the hassle of a group by is not as attractive as it used to be. I used weak knee in Pottstown, very good sack prices

The most expensive way to Homebrew

Not the same thing, but you could use pool heat exchangers. I had good results with one, two in series would be even better. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/index.php?threads/574257/

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Would love to, but kids, work, etc. Never can time it right. Think I might get a 100ml syringe and inject priming sugar through the prv.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

No lodo methods on the hot side, but all c02 on cold side. Pressurized transfers, purged kegs, etc. Once fermenting, no 02 exposure. All dry hops on day 2-3. I have seen darkening on non neipas but way more apparent on neipas. I force carb and been debating on trying natural carb to see if...

I am seeing darkening in my kegs too. I force carb. I am wondering if it is the oxygen in the co2, as co2 is not pure
