    Brew-Stand Build - gas fittings

Can you remove the 3/8" flare fitting from the orifice? If so the other end is probably a pipe thread which you can find an adapter to go to 1/2". Otherwise, You'll have to go with 3/8 flex. I've worked with plumbing and with gas fittings for years and never run into a flare to flare adapter.

    Another carbonation issue...Sorry

I have just completed my keezer and it works great..for beer. However, I have made some root beer and force carbonated it. I did this by applying 35 psi co2 to it for 4 days. Then I turned it down to 12 psi. I have the temp at set at 34 degrees which I have verified. I had a short 7' 3/16 beer...

    Alpine Spring

I tried a Sam Adams Alpine spring last night. It was pretty tasty! I had it in a frosted mug. The hops were very aromatic and good flavor. A bit citrusy but good. Hardly bitter at all, almost on the sweet side.

for those who use chalkboard paint

Old post but i though this might help..... Just a damp rag for erasing. It will get it cleaner and hold all the chalk to keep it from falling..

    chalkboard paint... slightly different use

I bet if you masked off the bottle and etched an area with this stuff. http://www.armourproducts.com/ Then painted it with chalkboard paint it would stick very well. My wife made a set of glasses with snowflakes with this stuff and in produced a very nice matt finish. I was thinking of using...

    Question on Keezer Collar

I did not insulate mine either. If you want to add some use silicone caulk it will stick good and not harm the foam. You may have to tape it on for a couple of days till it dries.

    DIY themowell from 1/4" tube

When I have to shape something round that is not critical but want it to look good I just chuck it into my cordless drill then grind it to the shape I want by hand. A bullet nose is really easy and can turn out great. You can use sandpaper to smooth it. Then take it to a buffer if you want it shiny.

    Tap Handles

I just finished the first of three matching tap handles for my treasure chest keezer. Masonsjax gave me the idea to take a piece of wood and wrap it with rope. I Pirated his idea and ran with it. I wanted a way to make the handle labeled for the type of beer that's on tap. I started with a...

i am doing SOMETHING very very wrong. please help!

That's great that you found the leak. Check for others! I had a couple of leaks in my setup too the best way to find it was by submerging the whole setup in water. I took the faces of the gauges apart so they'd dry out then dunked the whole thing underwater. I had one leak that would have...

I noticed this in the description. It sounds really thin and fragile. I'd order the trial size piece first and try it on something first. "Will stick to a textured refrigerator, but some of the texture "may" show through. Order a sample first to test."

Thank you! I just wanted something different..I happy with the way it has turned out so far. I've been trying to come up with some cool ideas for tap handles. I was thinking about cutlass sword handles or blunderbuss pistols or something.
