    fermenting at the bottom end of yeast's temperature range?

    What about trying to put the fermenter in a cardboard box. It will give you some, although little, insulation value. What little heat comes from fermentation should keep it a bit warmer in the box.

    I've been taking allergy shots and been doing great until the beer. I'm allergic to molds and fungi wonder if I have yeast allergies. It's usually worse the morning after I have a few homebrews.

    I brewed a bock from a kit that I enjoy. I have a stout in the fermenter and have a can of a brown ale. After that I may venture into "brewing" rather than just "mixing". Any easy recipes for a beginner on something that wouldn't be too bitter with a medium-full body?
