    how does this system sound?

Personally, I would upgrade to a larger tank, and possibly another regulator. So you can have 2 kegs at different pressure. Other than that it's a great system. I got the same, but with the dual regulator and I have my faucets mounted on a fridge door.

I think I got my first mild concussion!

I started reading this and immediately thought about my hockey days ... then I got to the part about how it happened .... yeah I've been there. I'm a goalie, so it was usually a 100mph slap shot that got me, or the occasional bump on the crossbar on the way down .... but never had it so bad I...

    Strong roasted stout recipe ....

OK, I am looking to make a dry stout, with strong roasted character. I made a stout before, and it ended up with too sweet, and very little on the roasted side. I have come up the recipe below. I have a few question about this: Do the roasted barley and black patent look about right for a...

    Critique my Bitter recipe

I have been interested in brewing a decent session bitter since I started brewing, but haven't done it yet. I came up with a recipe, and was looking for some feedback on it. What do you think of this? Recipe Specifics ---------------- Batch Size (Gal): 5.50 Wort Size...

Not sure what style I brewed

OK, so I decided to try and make a porter. It's been a while since I've had one ... so I figured what the hell. It's been fermenting for 4 days, took a hydro reading, and it's coming along nicely so far. Here's the question. yes I know that this is not what the finished beer will taste...

    Picnic Tap Crowd

I keep mine connected and ready to go all the time as well. I use a retractable key chain thing to keep the taps hanging where I need them too.

    2009 Christmas present thread

    What makes an IPA??

I drank two different IPA's tonight. Sierra Nevada's 2009 Celebration Ale and Abita's Jockamo. To me, they seem to be one two different ends of the IPA spectrum. One it bitter, and has an overwhelming hop taste/aroma. The other has the IBU's to qualify as an IPA, but lacks greatly on the...

    IPA recipe

OK, I had originally intended to make an Amber. I alrady have the grain bill waiting to be crushed. I am not sure if I should hop it like an Amber, or just go for an IPA. This is what I would do for an IPA .... I haven't added the dry hops yet, but I plan on adding an oz each of Willamette...

    Good friend ... good beer

Call it what you will ..... still some good beer. And I was opened to a new style of beer, Belgians are tasty. Don't know how Duvel ranks up there, but I certainly enjoyed it. I now have a new style to begin tasting ... any good suggestions?

    Good friend ... good beer

I had a friend show up tonight .... the husband of one of my SWMBO's friends to be exact. He brews as well ... last time I provided the home brew. It was his turn this time. He was in from out of town, forgot his brew, but brought me 3 beers I have never had before ..... good guy right there...

    IPA recipe

Yeah, I was debating on using Willamette or not. I definitely like that flavor, and I like the idea of combining it with the typical American C-hops perhaps a bit of a combo between an IPA and an strong citrus flavored american IPA. As for the yeast, I like the WLP008, it does leave it a bit...

    IPA recipe

OK, I've done an IPA before but it was extract, and pure cascade hops .... it was pretty good, but definitely room for improvement. I cam eup with a new recipe, but would definitely like some input. What about something like this: IPA Recipe Specifics ---------------- Batch Size...

I made one out of deer antler, cut it down until 2 points, then drilled out and epoxied in the insert. Pretty cool.

    Burner

I got one from http://www.turkey-fryers-online.com/ .... prices were pretty good, and customer service was great. My pot came dented, they shipped me out a new one. So now I have 2.

    Amber Ale recipe

Well, I am OK with not calling this an American Amber Ale .... or even an "Amber" for that matter. I was leaning towards an Amber ... but whatever. I already have the ingredients I listed ... didn't wait long enough for a reply. So I am going for the 2 lbs of crystal with the MO and munich...

    Amber Ale recipe

No, I prefer the taste and aroma of MO, but I was trying to use American Ingredients on this one, but I bent some for the MO.
