    Keg Connection

I think its a good deal. I started off with the 2 keg setup, with dual regulators. But I didn't get 10% off, or the 10# upgrade. I think its a great deal, I know I wish I had a 10# tank instead of the 5.

It's Not Self Promotion, I Swear!

Not necessarily my type of music ..... but I dig it. Love the chorus at the end with the crowd singing ... definitely ties it in as a good drinking song. There were a few points in the video where the sonud seemed off with the video, not sure if that was just me or not .... but it worked anyway.

How much Crystal is too much?

I am drinking an American Amber now. I put 2 lbs of crystal in it, 1# 10L and 1# 90L. Turned out great. I was told this was too much too, but I really enjoy it .. not too sweet, but I also used the 10L which is more along the line of caraPils, so it won't add too much sweetness.

thinking of getting a bayou classic 3066a - but have a question

I used to do this .... I didn't think there were any problems ... but I noticed when I got separate pots, 1 for the low country boil and a dedicated pot for brew, my head retention went up considerably. I didn't get any off flavors using a shared pot, but I think I was never able to get all the...

    Any guitar amp experts here?

Well, I would try and fix it, not a big fan a digital effect, especially ones with efffect incorporated right in the amp ..... but for $200 bucks I would give it a try?? I think Sam Ash is a licensed Line 6 dealer, so they should be able to fix it, but they may send it out to Line6 to have it...

    Red Oak?

Usually white oak is used in aging. Red oak will be pretty bitter, and could affect the overall flavor pretty poorly. If you could get your hands on some white oak, that would probably lend a better flavor. Just think about the smeel of red oak when you are cutting it, it stinks .... kinda...

    Yay or Nay?

I got four for Christmas. I had one with the valve "broken". It works fine, but the tab to flip up has a large chip in it. Other than that, they are great. I don't even think any of them have loose tops or bottoms, at least nothing to speak of, and they are also fairly clean on the outside.

    Dry hop my IPA

Really, low ibu's?? This calculated out to 56 in ProMash, not super high but still pretty high. That being said, I do think I will go for a blend, but probably go a little heavier on the centennial than on the columbus. An ounce of centennial and a half of columbus, does that sound good?

    Dry hop my IPA

This is the first time I used columbus for something other than bittering, so I don't really know if I like the smell/flavor ....

    Dry hop my IPA

Let me start this off by saying I know the procedure of dry hopping, so I don't need that explained to me, My questions are related to dry hopping this recipe .... that being said: OK so I made this IPA the other day. The SG now is at 1.010, and the krausen is dropping, so I am getting ready...

    Wheat recipe questions ...

OK, I will just go with the MO. I wasn't sure how well that would work out in a wheat, but I'll give it a shot.

    Wheat recipe questions ...

Hey. I am looking at doing a wheat beer for the spring. I have a good amount of grain on hand, but am unsure as what to use for a wheat ale. I am going more for the American style, but have now American pale malt, just MO. I would like to do this with only having to buy a few pound of...

    Pharmacy Laws

it depends on insurance and how to prescription was written. Insurance will try to get the pharmacy to sub for a generic, unless the doctor specifically writes the prescription for the name brand, and notes to make no subs. The pharmacy doesn't need to tell you, because it is the "same" drug...

    darn ... too much wort

Well, I made an IPA tonight. I calculate a recipe for a moderate gravity for an IPA (1.055) ... I decided to try and get 6 gallons out of this brew, as I have only been getting around 5.25. So I mashed and sparged and boiled .... at then end of the brew session I ended up with 6 gallons ...

    Slow fermentation

yeah, I am probably going to just have to keg thorough the krausen. the funny thing is, I top cropped from this batch, and did starter right away. The starter went from 1.060 to 1.010 in 2 days on the stir plate, and completely dropped out. The krausen reformed in the primary after the...

    Slow fermentation

OK, this is not a stalled fermentation thread, or anything of the sort. I have a question about my "slow" fermentation though. I pitched s05 in a batch at 1.060 11 days ago. Fermentation kicked off quickly and the airlock continued for 9 days, then slowed down and stopped. So I checked and...
