    No..not same as opp. My issue is I’ve found the ignition cable to be very prone to failure. Specifically, the ends (terminal?) separate from the end of the cable. The heat shrink just is not durable enough for this application. At $25 a cable I should be able to tow a car with these things.

    I’m on my 3rd ignition cable in 4 years...that’s about 15 brews on a $25 cable. Does anyone else see a high failure rate on these cables? After the first one went bad I started being SUPER careful with them but they just don’t seem to hold up.

    Got it.. Answer=yes, it will add healthy fermentation. At this point your intended beer should be gracefully forgotten and I would just try to get some healthy yeast going in your wort before something nasty takes over. If you have any temperature control you can keep fermentation in the low...

    IPA Question

    To eliminate malt as a cause just substitute Pilsner malt as the base malt and see if that makes a difference. Maybe cut the crystal in half just to make sure. It’s so tempting to add crystal malt to ipa’s for that little extra flavor but I hate crystal malt in ipa’s.

    Thanks...that helps. Ive been trying (hard) for 2 years to convince myself it’s time to upgrade to a conical and i just haven’t been able to justify it...but they sure are shiny! Ill keep following this in the hopes of discovering a good reason to add to my gear. Christmas is almost here! :)...

    My first go. I did all-grain brew-in-the-bag instead of dme. 1oz Fuggles for 40min. It’s good...I’ll be doing this again
