This. You still have what ever flavors the wild yeast put in the beer for the most part, be they good or bad. You just go rid of the will beast and alc. Now whether it make good bad or otherwise beer, only time will tell

Yeah you can't keep the recipes, but I just put them on a thumb drive and pull them as I need.

My used system came with a over the rim clamp that uses TC fittings. I use the arm in this position to recirc. and can take the arm off and put in the upper TC on the pot to whirpool

Yeah, getting a high SG is not a bad thing, easy to bring it down. Just means you get more beer. Do the same batch again. If numbers come out the same, you know that you can adjust things to hit the SG you want

I think a tall pot is better than a short round pot. I don't think the bag cares, if you use a bag. I use a basket with a bag liner for my 20 gal pot and just a mesh basket for my 10 gallon pot. If I had only one pot, 15 gallon tall would be what I got. Big enough to put a high SG beer in but...

Closest brewery to me is a lager only place. They are $5 a pint for most beers, $6 for special releases. Sixtil run $50-65 plus deposit Large grocery store has the bigger craft breweries at $9.99 for 6-pack. Bottle shop has singles from $1.75-9 per bottle. Growler refills are $15-18.

I think it would work, but its kind of tall. Not a problem if bottle is outside of kegarator. Also not sure if it has any back flow device. Beer will sometimes back up the gas line. Could be a pain to clean it out

Light shining direct on it can be a problem. Light just shining in the room, not so much. Easy fix would be to put a UV film on windows.
