    I filled both my 5 gal and 6 gal better bottles up in .5 gal increments using a growler and my 5 gal line for the 5 gal better bottle doesn't match the 5 gal mark in the picture. Anyone else have this problem? :drunk:

    Stock Pot

    I use a keggle for 5.5 gallon batches. You're correct in that causes excessive evaporation, I found that out the hard way. I typically boil ~7.15 gallons for 60 min boils

    http://www.ezwatercalculator.com/ Plug your numbers into that and adjust pH accordingly you definitely want to drop that 8.98 into the 5 range
