    Dry Hopping and Yeast

Yes, drain/dryhop/cold crash 2 days and bottle/keg. If you have ball valve, I suggest you to dump at day 3-4 because if you wait too much, your valve may be clogged if you make big IPA. If you have butterfly valve like I do, your good at anytime. Yes I have the FTss, I cold crash between 42-43...

    Dry Hopping and Yeast

After 5-7 days of fermentation just use the bottom valve and drain the yeast/trub. When your ready to bottle, use your bottom valve again and drain the trub/yeast until you have clear beer flowing so this way you'll get clean beer from your racking valve. Cold crash 1-2 days before if you can...

    Fresh Squeezed IPA (Deschutes Inspired)

Ok, so I didn't lied, I brewed this beer and it is now ready to drink. The only thing I changed was 3.5oz of Citra Dryhop instead of 2. My Grainfather hops filter went on the loose and a lot of trub was transferred into the fermenter. Thx to my SSbrewtech Chronical I dumped about 5 pint of...

    Tasmanian IPA (Schlafly Clone)

Finally got my hand on 13oz of galaxy!! Based on this clone recipe, here is what I'm planning to brew this Sunday if the galaxy is delivered right on time. There is just one thing (maybe you can help me there) is that I don't want to use the galaxy for the bittering hops. I have Nugget,Warrior...

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

The beer is now carbed. I can definitely taste the warrior bitterness shining from the beginning until the end and this beer have a great malty taste/flavor. Since I never taste the original Dogfish Head 60, I must say that I'm a bit disappointed that the Amarillo and Simcoe flavor are not...

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

------------ Kegged this beer 2 days ago (30 psi for the last 2 days then purged at 12 psi). Can't wait to get it carbed! The only thing is that it finished to 1.007! not 1.010... I fermented at 66F for the first 4-5 days then raise to 70 until the end. (3 weeks in primary) Will post pictures...

American IPA Dogfish Head 60 Minute Clone (AG) & Extract

Reviving this thread, brewed this today with my Grainfather I scaled this recipe with Beersmith software to 6.50Gal version. I wanted a low ABV version so I adjusted the Gravity via BeerSmith (my last 3 batch was like 7.5%+ each :mug:) It's now sitting in my 7gal SS Chronical BME @66F. Used...

Repitch Yeast Slurry after 2 High Gravity

I brewed an IPA 1 month ago, OG 1.065 that finished to 1.008 FG @ ABV 7,48% with 2 pkgs of rehydrated US-05. 3 weeks in my SS Chronical 7gal and I got great yeast from the dump valve that was well decanted and stayed in the jar for 1 week in my fridge. This Sunday, I brewed another IPA with...

    Fermenter to keg transfer

Finally the Quick Disconnect was not clogged, it was very clean... Don't know why it took around 40 min to transfer...

    Fermenter to keg transfer

I vent the keg with the PRV that I locked/opened on the lid. I have no gas connected on the keg while pressuring. With your comment, I think I did good with transfering the beer in the liquid post so I just hope that it was the QD clogged or the poppet. Will check this tonight and report back.

    Fermenter to keg transfer

Thanks for this tips I'll check the QD tonight if it was clocked but the first flow was very very clean beer all along

    Fermenter to keg transfer

I forgot to mention that when I turned the pressure up a bit to like 5 psi the QD on the liquid line was leaking a bit from the QD.. not the post.. Its like it was to much from him...

    Fermenter to keg transfer

Thx for the info. Whats you transfer pressure at on your BME? Can you hear the PRV releasing gas while transfering?

    Fermenter to keg transfer

Should I transfer into the gas post rather than beer post then?

    Fermenter to keg transfer

Hi. Yesterday, it was my first pressure transfer from my ss brewtech 7gal BME to my 5gal corny keg. Wanted to try the no oxygen transfer technique. I purged the keg before and connected a 3/8 hose on my fermenter racking valve, connected the quick connect on the beer line of the keg, opened the...
