New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

I ferment at 66-68F, raise to 72 until the end of fermentation then soft crash to 56-58, First dry hop that will be in for 5 days, stay at 58F, second dryhop 2 days after. Total contact time 5 days max. Cold Crash at 45 for 24h then keg it. I don't know if it's doing anything special (dry...

NEIPA v12, everything was fine (except I aimed for 1.060 not 1.052). great color, super super fruity aroma but man it's by far the first time I got some Hop burn like that. And I got a big one. Ok it's kegged since july 6, but you can see the hops at the bottom of the glass when you put it in...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Just Kegged a 6oz DH that was in my Chronical for 48h. First 24-30h at 60F and then slowly cold crashed to 40.... It was Galaxy-Eldorado-Citra (2:2:2). Aroma is out of this world but got a little hop burn as there is a lot of hop in suspension. It's force carbing now. Gonna let the keg sit for...

I usually stay at 160f with my GF for 30 min. I tried from 45 min to 15 min and did not noticed any difference at all... So I stay at 30 min then I chill quickly to 60-64. Edit: I tried 200f and 180f and did not really notice it was more bitter

With a new kid and a new house, I haven't brewed since february 19. Was following this post before and I would appreciate your comments if this recipe is still up to date. I brewed 12 NEIPA before and I have some unopened 2018 Galaxy and 2019 Eldorado/Citra that I need to use before they are end...

I agree with everything but the part of disconnecting the CO2 seems a little too much? Is there so much oxygen over there?

I don't know if it's the honey malt doing this. I did 9 straight NEIPA brew, 4 with honey malt (2-4%), 3 without honey malt and 2 with C10. At first (3-4 weeks in the keg) the beer is really good and fresh. After a month in the keg, the beer with and without honey malt became sweet on the flavor...

I always add my minerals and lactic acid in the mash water and the sparge water the night before I brew. I am using Bru'n Water and I have always very good result.

24g/l for the dry hop... that's like 19oz in a 6gal . They did not said anything about biotransformation. maybe they don't...

I'm always having between 77-83% efficiencies with my Grainfather. Always 45-60min mash and sometime 45min with a 10 min mashout @168.

This beer is great, very peachy, more peach, mango, citrus. I left a wide open glass for 2 days in the fridge and the aroma is still overwhelming... It took 3-4 days to turn grey (oxidized)... Really impressed about this hops trio! Cheers

I tried force carb, 30 psi for 24h-36 hours, vent then set it at 11-12 psi with good success. Recently, I serve my neipa at 45F @ 11-12 psi (set and forget for 1-2 weeks) and according to the carbonation table it is at around 2.17 - 2.26 Honestly I did not noticed any difference in both way...

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Kegged the beer this afternoon after 30 hours of cold crash, 12 days in the fermenter. Very smooth closed no oxygen transfer again (took about 5-6 min to fill up) but man I got again 81% of attenuation with 1318, finished at 1.011 -1.010. I mashed at 155-156 to test 1318 with a higher FG but no...

Yeah just wait a week or 2 and it can be the best beer you brewed... Been there done that.

Yep no boil hops. I found that I like my NEIPA without any boil hops. With 12.5oz in a batch, I got a lot of IBUs to my taste.
