    Kegged a schwarz beer and an Australian golden ale. Cleaned three kegs from a festival an few weeks ago.     How much dextrose do I add to a 500ml bottle to prime it?

    Good point. I also guess some of these higher pressure bottles take a different size cap(?), as I can't seem to make the standard size 12oz bottle caps work. My higher pressure bottles, and a few flip tops, are pretty much the only bottles I clean and reuse so they are a mixed lot.

    Next time make those decisions after the boil. There are dilution tools out there to determine how much water to add. (Also, the opposite, how much DME to add if your OG is light.) Nothing worse then not putting 5g in a keg after all that effort. Same deal though, the water should be sanitized...

    Do you just use a regular caps on these high pressure bottle? I do a few Belgian beers each year and bottle about half; leave the rest in the keg, and cork/cage them. The bottles take caps, but I always felt the caps won't hold the pressure.

    I'm part of this club too. My highest og the last four beers is 1.050. Schwarz, Irish stout, Australian sparkling and a session apa. The session apa actually used a pound of carafoam (8%). Huge billowing head, just saying 🤣.

    Try Carafoam, not Carapils/Dextrine. Most places say they are the same, but that hasn't been my experience over the years when I have substituted them. You don't need much, 3-4 oz for a 5g batch.

    I went 2x6, or maybe it's 2x8, for the collar too on my second build. Gives plenty room on the hump to put kegs. As for cleaning the bottom, I just use a mop, no leaning over, etc. to get to the bottom.
