    I'm a plate chiller guy too. Use a keggle to boil in. I do a manual whirlpool for 30-seconds, wait 15-20 minutes, then pump it through the chiller. The trub/hops are left behind and the wort i crystal clear. Never had any issues with chiller getting clogged. Can't remember the last time I used...

    I have no idea as I don't have a o2 meter. I just read that most low o2 folks use this method. Previously I used camden tablets as part of my process, which some say reduce oxygen.

    Tried my first serious low oxygen brew attempt, all steps, but i didn't really have a solution for a mash cap, so i just laid/floated some aluminum foil on top. Seemed to work ok. I still use keggles, so i guess I'll get a 15-inch pizza pan and cut it in half to put hinges on it like my false...

    What are you drinking now?

    Moving on to the Big Brew Day - American Barleywine. Needs a little aging. Going to make a great winter warmer, 10% so a nice alcohol warmth, high ibu's with a nice sweetness in the middle, then dry on the finish. In the kegerator now, but I think I'll take it out to condition at cellar temp.

    First glass of the Big Brew Day - Citra Session IPA. Goes down nice no hop burn for a beer 4 days in the keg. A little less than 5%. Not hot out this evening but has the making of a hot day pool side drinker.

    How about a little centrifugal force instead of a squeeze? Something to spin it. I don't biab, but if I did, I would go Bobby's route. Isn't the main benefit of biab, simplicity?

    Airgas swaps siphoned tanks? I need to check into this. I have an extra 20lbs tank sitting around I wonder if they would swap that for a siphon tank? The 5lbs swaps are getting ridiculous expensive. I run another 20lb tank on my keezer and 5lbs tanks for festivals and general brewery work...
