    Prime with?

http://www.howtobrew.com/section1/chapter11-4.html Basically, you're adding the priming solution into the beer while it's in the bottling bucket about to be bottled. There are plenty of methods used to make sure that priming solution gets mixed with the beer, just use the search feature.

    Question on Secondary/Bottling

I brewed a darker strong ale on Tuesday the 18th. It started off fast and was down to a bpm within 3 - 4 days. I waited until the 25th and put it into the Secondary where it has stayed not bubbling for the last 4 days. Since it is a darker beer, is it still good practice to let it sit for...

    Age

Started two months ago at the young age of 24. I'm the first of my family/friends to homebrew and only became aware of being able to Homebrew 3 months ago after hearing about my neighbor making his own wine ... which led me to research brewing beer (since I love beer) and to which I find this...

    Another newbie question...

You need to very careful when cleaning a plastic bucket. Little scratches can harbor bacteria which will infect your beer. Primary is where the fermenting is done while the secondary is where the clearing of the beer will happen. There is little to no airlock activity during the secondary.

    Two Batches

My first homebrew took ~3 days to start up. Wait 48 - 72 hours then repitch if you still see nothing. Also, what are you using for your primary? Is everything sealed properly? I've heard stories of people who saw no activity pop the top to see either Krausen or Krausen that has fallen.

    getting fat!

I notice weight gain as well but countered it early. I cut out on un-healthy snack foods and lowered my intake of pop to 1 can/bottle a day. Along with that I lowered my portion size and try to run for an hour a day on the Treadmill or out on a trail. All in the name of drinking homebrew...

    Cooling wort question

I use the double sink method. Right off the burner I put the kettle into a water bath with a light amount of ice since it'll heat up extremely fast. While it's sitting in the one side of the sink, I fill up the other with some ice. Once the water is warm, I switch the kettle over and repeat...

    Holding Times

Typical Rule of Thumb 1 week in Primary. 2 weeks in Secondary. 3 weeks in bottles.

    BrewVint yeast fuel?

I've had similiar effects when I used the BrewVint Yeast Fuel.
  15. N

Uh oh. It smells like vinegar.

Stinks, hopefully this will be your bad batch for the year :( Dump then clean and sanitize, sanitize, sanitize. Perhaps throw another Sanitize in and try another batch.

Why you should keep PAPER records

I have 2 big empty journals and 1 journal just started for just these notes. I much prefer written to typing.
