Building a stir plate came across rare earth magnet 3/16 size at radio shack are two of these magnets going to do the trick for 2000ml starter? Or of all else could 4 of them side by side work? If that wouldn't work what size of rare earth magnet would work?

Nope haven't had any issue with the cord heating up by the burner. Was kinda worried about it when I first fired the burner up to see if it would.

This was the way I mounted it! The only bad thing about it is that when I uncouple the hose sweet warm wort flows out of the tube. So I just put a small bowl right under input port and let it drain.

I finally got done with my new brew stand! Brewed with it this last weekend everything went really good besides the rookie mistake of a boil over.....just learning the ins and out of the stand!!

About the female receptacle and what to get. It kinda matters what element u are going to use a 1500 watt element then you could get away with a 15 amp female receptacle. A 2000 watt element then you would want to go with a 20 amp female receptacle. I kind of went over board on my female...

This is a solid state relay. PID sends dc voltage to the relay to open or close the switch. No question is a stupid question.

I finally got around to wire my rims control panel. I still need to connect rtd probe and get name plates for the buttons. I just wanted to say thanks for everyone's input and info on this thread.
