    Fermentation Chamber advice

You can take that refrigerator and make a walk-in cooler out of it. I’m sure insulation board, some fans, etc could get you to that point. But, that would be very inefficient. Still would be cool though.

    The Price of Craft Beer

Prairie Artisan Ales bottles are always $8-12. Sometimes, I think the price is crazy to help draw hype. Jester King has been putting out $20-25 bombers for some time and they sell out every time. They even do a lottery system now. Some are worth it, some not.

    Cracked fermentation vessel, what now?

Transfer it a long time ago! That crack will continually expand and slight temp changes will speed it up. Your best bet it to transfer ASAP and it doesn’t matter where to. Just get it into something.

What was your water profile and did you add anything to balance it? Typically, water makes a world of difference in perceived hoppiness.

SG of 1.119, am I now making wine?

Don’t throw it out. Worst case, back sweeten it a little to cut the edge. You could rack off that yeast and add Potassium Sorbate to hinder the yeast from reproducing. Or, use Camden tablets. Whatever you choose will likely be fine. Option 1 might be potent but tasty.

    Bottled my 1st batch, IPA

I couldn’t tell how long the tubing was. If it was above the beer, as it appears, consider getting longer tubing and having a coil or two In the bottom. This will help avoid splashing and give you a calm whirlpool for mixing pruning sugar.

    Did I ruin my starter?

It’s fine. Just make sure you decant the liquid as that’s not very tasty under any circumstances.

    Hey all

They are no more complicated than anything else. The only extra step is that you have to watch your timer to know what your additions are. You might make sure your additions are all during the boil or at flameout. I wouldn’t do hop stands or whirlpools for your first brew.

    NEIPA Darkening in Primary?

Definitely normal. Mine typically go from almost solid white, to orange, darken, and then re-surface to a bright and hazy brew.

Northern Brewer/Ab InBev - What's the prognosis 1 year on?

For myself, I will not shop their because of who they are owned by. That said, many people don’t care. My first 1 gallon kit came from there and they are still a quality Homebrew shop with many great resources. I’ll still mention them if someone is looking for something that only they sell. My...
