    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

I don't usually have blowoffs with 1056 or 001 but US05 always seems to climb on me and need a blowoff.

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

So about a week in after I pitched, fermentation kicked off in about 16 hours after I pitched. The beer was held at ~67°F for 4 days during active fermentation before being bumped up to 68°F for a few days and I'm going to finish it out at 70°F. At ~48 hours after pitching the yeast it needed...

    Solitary brewer ?

I typically brew alone but I had a neighbor "help" once. He didn't do much since he had never brewed before but it was pretty humorous to see him describe it as the beer we brewed together. The beer turned out great so I can't complain!

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

Dick Cantwell literally says Corporate is the yeast they used at Elysian. Imperial Yeast offers the Chico strain under A07 Flagship so I doubt it's that. He still uses Corporate at Magnolia Brewing so I'm going to defer to the person who founded Elysian and continues to work with Imperial Yeast.

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

A lot of breweries are using this strain now - it's been available from Imperial for awhile but they just recently made it available to home brewers. I know Cloudburst and Magnolia both use it in some of their beers.

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

Seems like a lot of extrapolation on your end. Just because the specs are similar (but not the same) as WY1217 doesn't mean they're the same yeast. Also we're not sure if that's even the yeast Stone uses. I can say for sure that this is Elysian's yeast. Can you provide any sources that link...

    What Are You Brewing Next???

I've got an IPA fermenting and kegs of a Porter brewed with WLP007 and an Irish Red brewed with Imperial Darkness. I almost always brew American or British styles so for my next batch... maybe a saison or a kolsch?

    Keg / PSI / Temperature

I tape the temperature probe to the side of a keg towards the bottom. The keg had enough thermal mass that it keeps things pretty stable. My controller matches an analog thermometer that sits inside the chest freezer within 1°F. I run all my kegs at 34°F and 8-9 psi. I usually set and...

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

I reached out to Imperial Yeast and here's what they say - It's a super great strain for hop forward beers. Here is our description: Corporate is a Pacific Northwest favorite and is an excellent choice when making hop forward American style beers. It’s the go to for Brut IPAs, due to its clean...

How bout this....I’ve got head!!!! (That’s what he said....)

I run all of my beers at 8-9 psi. My keezer is set to 34°F. This gives me ~2.4 - 2.5 vol CO2 in my beers.

    Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate

I picked up an extremely fresh pack of Imperial Yeast A30 Corporate from my LHBS for an IPA I'm making this weekend. I hadn't heard anything about it and couldn't find any information on Imperial's website. I did a little bit of digging and found this interesting quote about this strain on...

    "you won't save money homebrewing"

What did you get for $20,000? I'm having a hard time imagining how you could spend that much in 2 years.

    "you won't save money homebrewing"

Even saving $11.43 a gallon means I'm spending almost $600 a year less on beer. I think most people who have similar drinking habits as me can easily save money by making beer about once a month. I would argue the only hard part is learning how to brew good beer which takes some time and...

    "you won't save money homebrewing"

    I'll show my math. Before I stared homebrewing I would usually get a few bombers and a 6 pack every week. That comes out to about a beer every night for my wife and I. 1 batch homebrew = ~5 gallons = $25 therefore ~1 gallon = $5 12 pack = ~1 gallon = $18 6 bombers = ~1 gallon = $30 (1/2 *...

    "you won't save money homebrewing"

I don't buy anything but hops in bulk and almost any style is going to cost me under $30 a batch to make and some styles closer to $20. Craft beer costs around $18+ a 12 pack (with deposit) from the big players up here (Deschutes, Hop Valley, Ninkasi, Sierra Nevada, etc.) If you want to drink...

    Lactose and yeast cell count...

I would say yes since it's the osmotic pressure that is going to stress yeast. Island Lizard - viability of White Labs yeast is a lot better now that they've moved to their Pure Pitch packaging. I'm not sure about Wyeast but I think a lot of the amateur information regarding yeast viability...
