    Hot wort into keg fermenter?

I sit the keg on a step so the top of the keg is not submerged.

    Need New Grain Mill

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Mighty Mill 3. Like you, my old Barley Crushed has seen better days. Being a penny shy for the $30 discount, I ordered a cheap item to put me over the top (needed it anyway). I hope the mid August date is accurate.

Saison Old Country Ale (Lithuanian Farmhouse Ale)

I recently used Jovaru for the first time. I used 12# Maris Otter and 2# rye malt in a 5 gallon batch. Finished dry at 1.003 and a 9% abv. Tastes great.

    Need New Grain Mill

That's what I'm eyeing as a replacement for my BC. Mid August, tho...

    Need New Grain Mill

Timely thread. The other day I spent over an hour grinding 14# of grain on my 15 year old BC in a 90+ degrees garage. The mill has performed well over the years until fairly recently. Time to move on. RIP BC.

Kveik yeast - shipping warm/hot weather

Just pitched the Arset. Sitting at 90 degrees in my hot garage. Did a WP with 5 ounces of hops, another 10 ounces will be coming in DH (2 stages)! I'm expecting a Tropical fruit bomb.

Yup, that was me. The Espe was nice, gonna try the Arset tomorrow in a Tropical DIPA.

    Frankenstein beer...should I?

Personally, not my cup of tea. I don't keep a lot of specialty grains on hand, I rarely use caramel malts. Plus, I like big beers.

    Frankenstein beer...should I?

Most of my beers are Frankenstein. I just wing it on my brews. I have a good idea on what makes sense.

Omega Jovaru experience. Super high attenuation!

Originally, I named my beer made with Jovaru, Lithuanian Farmhouse Ale. Actually, Lithuanian Golden Strong Ale is more apt. Nice and clear 9% monster that looks like a pils. Beer is much clearer than pic. The Charleston humidity is clouding my pics!

    Squeeze the bag

I squeeze with BBQ gloves. I get most of it out.

Omega Jovaru experience. Super high attenuation!

Drinking now. Quite good! On tap now. Quite good! Cleaner than i thought it would be.

Omega OXL-071 Lutra - Starter needed?

I didn't make a starter when I did a Baltic Porter. No problem at all.

Omega Jovaru experience. Super high attenuation!

Actually eeked out another point. 1.004. Time to cold crash. Damn, I got a 9% brew from 14.25 pounds of grain! Hopefully, it's not rocket fuel!

Omega Jovaru experience. Super high attenuation!

Looks about done at 1.005. Highly attenuated! Should be near or fully carbonated, too.
