    To vorlauf or not?

    Since I switched to mashing in a bag (Wilser), vorlauf is a thing of the past. But in the past, I typically drained a half gallon or so into a pitcher. It wasn't a big deal.

    I recently used the picnic tap 2.0 from Trong (inventor of SpundIt). I'm not sure if it's for sale yet but it rocks! I don't usually use picnic taps but I brought a couple of kegs out of town for a party. It works great! No drips, no excessive foam. Highly recommended!

    Is this corny keg salvageable?

    You guys can't actually reach your arm to the bottom of a corny, can you? My arms are long but too thick. I barely get past my elbow.

    I recently upgraded to a triple faucet tower from a double. Therefore, I received another Perlick flow control faucet. I also got a few bottles of Belgian beer.

    I can't comment on your water chemistry but I would up the dry hops to at least an ounce each.

    Cosmic Punch (OYL-402) by Omega Yeast Labs

    I used Cosmic Punch once. It was good but didn't have that extra oomph I was expecting. I did go light on the mash hops, tho (an ounce iirc). I'll eventually try it again but it will get much more hops in the mash.

    I used to sparge but since I got back into brewing a couple of years ago, I now go no sparge in a mash BIAB. I crush the ***** out of my grain and get way better efficiency.

    I recently used 04 A couple of times. Good attenuation but not that high. I've been using it for a White Christmas Stout where I go from 1.075 to 1.015-ish. Two times in a row with that.

    One difference on mine is a piece of hose on the cap to the bottom of the bottle. And I use a smaller bottle (12 oz).

    ferment, naturally carbonate, serve in one keg

    I sometimes put hot wort in my 10g Torpedo, pop on the lid and chill it in my pool. Pressurized fermentation and transfer to corny (5 gallon batches).

    I just drop them in the fermenter in a hop bag.
