    Yeah, I know its not Rahr, but I usually buy Rahr @ $50/50# sack, I could care less what the base malt is that I use, I always buy the cheapest and my beer is always great (except for the not so great ones :-)) I don't believe that it coming in 50# sacks has been confirmed yet though...

    FYI, a soured mash, acidulated malt soured beer, brett soured, and acetobacter/pedio soured beer all have very different characteristics. You may want to taste some sours, and read up a bit before diving into this head first. It also creates some equipment issues unless you are very careful...

    You know, I see this anecdotal opinion a lot, but I have never seen the results of an actual experiment...has anyone actually shown this? As a geneticist/molecular biologist, this doesn't make much sense, yeast are very good at adapting to their environment.
