    Deep Thoughts

No sweat, it's not a problem.

    Skeeter Pee

Well that is a relief to know. Stirring I can certainly do and will. I have been afraid I would simply end up with rather sweet flavored lemonade. I believe I will invest in DAP in the future, however. Thanks again for the advice.

    Skeeter Pee

Well it is good to know I didn't completely miss the boat on the additive purchases. Thanks for the help.

    Skeeter Pee

Well, it is set up and ready for the hydrated yeast addition tomorrow. Hydrometer reading where it should be, so maybe it won't be too much of a failure. We'll see how it goes.

    Skeeter Pee

Ok, this may be a waste of the time and materials, but I am proceeding without the nutrient, will just use the go-ferm when I add the yeast and the fermaid later in the ferment. I do not know what else to do, since the sugar water solution is already cooked and cooling to go in the bucket...

    Skeeter Pee

Well, great, I've bought the wrong stuff, then, and probably wasted a bag of sugar. And I don't have a brew supply store handy. Thank you for your reply, Arpolis, I really appreciate it! You have given me my first real answer since I started asking questions a couple of days ago.

    Nutrient vs energizer

I need some advice. I have a recipe that calls for 3 tsp nutrient and 2 tsp energizer. I have 10 grams go-ferm and 8 grams fermaid k. Are these equivalent?

    Skeeter Pee

I have a question, please. My recipe calls for yeast nutrient and energizer. What I have is 8 grams of fermaid K and 10 grams of Go-Ferm. What is equivalent to use for 6 tsp nutrient and 2 tsp energizer? And which do I use for each? I had no real luck finding just "nutrient" or "energizer".

    What are you drinking now?

A Dr. Pepper. About to start prep to brew Skeeter Pee. My first.

    What are you drinking now?

Just a couple....are you sure you got enough? ;-)

    What are you drinking now?

Sounds like my zoo. I can vouch for the fact that a multiple cat owner is familiar with all the nuances of cat pee funkyness, hahaha!

    What are you drinking now?

Ditto. The Southern Pecan is very nice. Have not seen the Timber Beast but I'll be keeping my eye open now that I know about it

    Deep Thoughts

Ah, somebody else after my own thought....and one who actually went beyond thinking about it and DID it!

    Deep Thoughts

Haha, yes I am married, but unfortunately I am the she and I still stand by my statement that I don't want to clean it up ;-)

    Deep Thoughts

Actually, I do....I have one that thinks he's the boss, so he craps in the floor in front of the box, so everybody knows he's been there. I've thought about crapping by his so he knows he, in fact, isn't the boss. I just don't want to clean up my own turd in addition to his, lol

    Deep Thoughts

I don't think it would be wrong but I can imagine the cat's incredulous stare as he wonders exactly what you are doing.

    Preakness

Anybody planning on watching the Preakness run later today?
  18. Paschendale

    What are you drinking now?

I've always wanted to try moose, also. How similar is it to elk?

    Full Hard Lemonade recipe

I plan on making this per the skeeter pee recipe tomorrow. This will be my first big batch of anything and I'm looking forward to this. I don't have a slurry, so will just have to rehydrate the EC-1118 ahead of time. Exactly how much yeast do I need to use? The directions seem a bit sketchy...

    What are you drinking now?

Haha! A couple of my dogs have a taste for beer too. With one of mine, you can't leave beer unattended or he'll purposely knock it over so he can lap it up.
