Sorry that is the first recipe i posted. I cant wait to try it out! I will probably start with 6.5 - 7 gallons of boil water. So that may affect hop utilization. YOOP, i thought you might like this, i saw you posted on it awhile back.

    Best type of hop

When dry hopping with whole hops, do they tend to stay whole? The thing about pellets is the sludge they create. I would like to avoid that with out having to use a hop bag, either with the hops in it or around the racking cane. Say theoretically i have a choice to dry hop with Cascade...

    Airlock activity in secondary

Yooper, do you dry hop in the primary after fermentation? Also, i have tried the muslin bag over racking cane and I seemed to get a ton of air bubbles from it. does that happen to you>?

    Best type of hop

What are the best type of hops for boiling and then for dry hopping. By type I mean, pellet, whole, leaf, plug... I dont have much experience with anything other than pellets. For my next recipe Id like to try something different. So what are youre preferences?

    Airlock activity in secondary

I just dumped the pellets in. I posted another thread awhile back and a couple people suggested to gently rock the carboy to get the hops to settle from the top of the carboy. Why would someone suggest that if it is bad?

    Airlock activity in secondary

Thanks Rich Brewer! Should i stop rocking the carboy to try and settle the hops? Im not shaking it or anything just a gentle rock back and forth to try and get the hop matter to sink.

    Airlock activity in secondary

Hey all, I was just wondering about something. I racked my beer to the seondary a couple days ago after it feremented in primary for 2 weeks. It was at its f.g before I racked it. I added some hops to the secondary for dry hopping. The airlock has begun to bubble once again? Is...
