I have the 60 qt version of the pot you are looking at. The quality is excelent, though I've yet to put a flame under it yet. Nice and heavy gague steel and no manufacturing flaws to be seen.

The good news about these kinds of surgeries is that there have been so many done now that it's a pretty common procedure. You're chances for a full recovery are excellent.

I went to http://whitehouse.gov and used the Contact Us link and submitted a request for the recipe. Do you think I should have filed a Freedom of Information Request instead? ;) I asked that they publish the recipe for everyone to have. If I get a response back, I'll post it here.

Benthic, it was great meeting you today. Had to move things around in my garage, but it's found a nice new home. I've been kegging since my first beer, but it'll sure be nice to have cold beer from the tap now! Need to pick up some BLC, but I've got my kegs cooling down as I type this. Thanks!

I was putting my hydrometer away, I keep it in the graduated cylander that I read my samples in. I usually slide it into the tube at an angle and gently raise it up to let it slide to the bottom. For whatever reason I put the hydrometer into the vertical cylander and dropped it straight down...

I have the 32 quart version of that pressure cooker. It'll work fine for sterilizing your gear.

I had an extract kit that I bought and it sat on my shelf for 3 years. Who knows how long it was on the shelf at the store before I bought it. I threw out the yeast and everything else it came with and just used the extract. The beer turned out great.

I stopped at a local scrap yard on Thrusday and asked if they had any kegs or stainless tanks for sale. Turns out they only buy and don't sell anything to the public.
