    You tube how to's-

Whatever you do, if you see any howto videos on youtube.com from someone who calls himself "TakeSomeAdvice" stay clear of them. Wait till you have enough knowledge to know that this guy's videos are wrong in so many ways. After you've got an understanding of what needs to be done, go ahead and...

    Alabama gas station

Sadly I don't. It was one of those random 'look at the fuel gauge and realize I gotta get gas or be in trouble' stops. Didn't really pay attention at that point!

I was tired of lifting buckets of water over my head

I was just going to suggest that too. These hoses are made safe for drinking water. Garden hoses can contain products like lead and other chemicals that are unsafe for drinking. I picked one up last weekend at Wallyworld for under $10.

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

I have a hat just like that which I use for sanitizing brew equipment in my dark basement. It's hard to see otherwise.

    How Long does DME Last?

Humidity is a bitch when it comes to storing your DME. If you can get some Desiccant Packets to store inside your DME it should help with the clumping. I found that out the hardware here in the balmy south!

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

I made my starter tonight fully clothed and in my kitchen. I didn't wear a mask and I think I got air in my flask and jug (I lack a 2nd 2 liter flask..) I didn't crank the cap on my jug on tight, in fact, I didn't even use it. The best I could find was some aluminum foil. I used it on my flask...

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

If I take my shirt off, it'll scare the yeast so much they will not reproduce! I need viable yeast.

Has anyone seen this?! (yeast starter saga)

I'm getting ready to start my starter for my Brew day on Saturday. Do you think this will be good enough protection or do I need the full suit or just a hairnet at the very least?

    Damn Austin Homebrew Supply!!

At less than $20 a kit (I don't need the yeast either, I have my own yeast bank too) I think it's a great deal for anyone who hasn't had an option of bulk buys or just don't have to storage space to keep that much grain on hand. Last weekend I finally joined the local homebrew club and now...

    Damn Austin Homebrew Supply!!

I ordered two kits Irish Red and the Stout, since I don't need yeast or priming sugar because I keg, each kit cost me $19.21. $46.41 after shipping which still isn't bad at all.

Japan 8.9 earthquake + Tsunami warnings for N. America

My family finally got word from my cousin, his family is safe. I've been through a few natural disasters, flooding and hurricanes, but seeing that video makes me feel like I've not been through anything at all!

    UC Irvine Engineering Training Videos

I was looking around on Youtube today for video instructions on how to weld. I came across this great set of resources from UC Irvine. I figure that since there's many out there like me who want to learn to weld so we can build our own brew stands, etc., I'd share my find.
