My new brew system, a brutus 10 with some nice modifications

I fired the burners with the kegs on top (fill with water), and I used an infrared thermometer to keep an eye on the hottest parts of the frame. From there, just follow the heating instructions on the can of paint. I don't recall the procedure exactly, but it was a series of heat up and cool...

Temperature Controlled Burners, Brutus, Banjo BG14, Piloted Honeywell Valve Questions

I'm sorry I don't know what the "At" parameter is that you mentioned. I do have OutY set to 4 which uses J2 as On/off control relay contactor output. I have the Hysteresis set for 2 degrees. The auto-tune feature is interesting, now that I look at it, but I can see your concern with...

    Collapsible Brew Stand

This is a very cool idea. I can't wait to see pictures if you pull this off. Storage was a big concern for me when I built my Brutus 10 (linked in my signature). I designed it so that the keggles are stored inside of the stand, and the whole stand fits under my workbench in the garage...

Temperature Controlled Burners, Brutus, Banjo BG14, Piloted Honeywell Valve Questions

Temperature Controlled Burners, Brutus, Banjo BG14, Piloted Honeywell Valve Questions

Those I got from a local electronics store. You can get them online at Jameco, and other places. Female connectors like this one are nice for your output to the pumps (since those are live): http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10001_10001_1954640_-1?CID=PDF Mine are...

My new brew system, a brutus 10 with some nice modifications

The threaded SS tee is welded to the keggle. Then the thermometer just screws into the end of the tee, with its thermowell extending through the tee into the vessel. Check out the first page of posts in this thread for some reference pictures. -- Josh

My new brew system, a brutus 10 with some nice modifications

FYI, in your sketchup the angle iron on the top is flipped from what mine is. That is, your keggles will sit "down in" the space when in-use, whereas mine sit on the top surface. Either will work, but you will need to compensate for that in the overall height, as you are losing 1.5 inches in...
