Convert Pin Lock Kegs to Ball Lock

So I thought I had purchased a ball lock keg, but now think it is pin lock. Can anyone confirm? And if it is pin-lock, would this be a good option for me? (I currently have 1 ball lock keg along with Ball lock QD's from my gas and serving lines.) http://www.cornykeg.com/catalog.asp?prodid=682504

Do people simply keg their beer after the primary fermentation?

I used to primary 7-10 days, secondary 7-10 days, then bottle. As of last night I kegged my first batch. Came out of the primary after 3 weeks, straight into keg, into keezer, and is now sitting at 8psi (Denver) at 42*.

Can someone point me in the direction of a cheap keg setup?

I have looked at many of the above-listed websites and their kits, but am still curious if it is more cost effective to buy everything separately. I am looking for a 3-tap system running off 1 CO2 tank to 3 ball-lock corny's. I already have a CO2 regulator and the kegs but need to purchase...

    First time cleaning kegs

I was thinking of doing this too, as I want to clean them soon but not use them for a few weeks. From what I have been reading, it is best to pressurize the keg with the starsan in it... then when ready to use, let it run through your beverage line before depressurizing, dumping, and filling...

STC 1000 "Ebay" Temperature Controller Build

Bought 2 of these on Amazon last week and just assembled them today. As you can see, I installed one to the back and one to the front of the project boxes. Awesome info on here and they both work like a charm. Now I just need a batch to ferment/keg!!

    Kegerator/Keezer Hardware Advice Needed!

What size shanks are necessary to penetrate the average freezer? Is 4" too short? If not, I may buy this combo as it is only $2 more than the cheapest 525SS combo I can find...

    Kegerator/Keezer Hardware Advice Needed!

Also, is this a good deal for the hoses, clamps, and ball lock couplers? Or can I buy this stuff cheaper if I part it out? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Home-Brew-Beer-Keg-Tap-Disconnect-Ball-Lock-Set-3-16-5-16-Line-In-Out-Tube-/251282677241?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a819d5df9

I will tag along on this thread as I am also building both a keezer and a fermentation vessel in a second chest freezer. What size shanks are necessary to penetrate the average freezer? Is 4" too short? If not, I may buy this combo as it is only $2 more than the cheapest 525SS combo I can...

Help with Kegerator, Keezer, and Fermenting Chamber

Thanks for the opinions guys. To answer a few questions: Im not sure how low the minifridge will get, I will test it in the next few days I have thought about making the big freezer a keezer, but that would leave only enough room for 1 primary fermenter in the small freezer. Was thinking I...

A couple questions about heating a fermentation chamber

The freezer I am putting it in will be in a garage year-round. The keg fridge will be in the basement. I plan on getting something for both setups. Do you have any pics of your setup?
