Smithwick's Irish Ale Clone (all grain) recipe desired

I made this recipe yesterday except I used 1 Pkgs British Ale (Wyeast Labs #1098) Yeast-Ale instead of the 1028. I'll let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the recipe!

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I bottled mine today. I tasted it again and it definitely has more of a grapefruit flavor than a strawberry flavor. Hopefully it will condition in the bottles and taste better. I'll update you again once I taste it in 2 weeks

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

Damn, I did use the Wal-Mart brand. I wish I knew that earlier. Oh well, I'll let you know how it turns out.

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I tasted it when I transferred it from the bucket to the carboy, and it tasted more like grapefruit than strawberries. Should I be alarmed?

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

This is interesting, I came home from work and the bubbler is clicking every 2-3 seconds and I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing that yesterday. I transferred the beer onto the strawberries on Sun morning (4 days ago). Is this normal?

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I just racked onto the strawberries today. I cold crashed it on Fri morning so it was cold crashing for 2 full days. I am gonna leave it in there for 6 days like you said and then put it back in to cold crash from Sat morning until Sun night before transferring again. I am shocked at how many 8...

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I am not quite understanding, should I leave in my primary for 12-14 days at 68 degrees, then cold crash for 1 week, then transfer to secondary bucket with strawberries for 1 week at 68 degrees for 1 week, then transfer to carboy and leave for 1 week at 68 degrees, then cold crash for another...

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

Wait, I thought I am supposed to leave in the primary for 12-14 days, then rack into a bucket on the strawberries for 7 days, then rack to a carboy for 7 days, and then cold crash for 7 days. Please detail the correct procedure

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I'm too nervous to go the fresh route and after reading all of the responses on this string, frozen seems the safest. Plus I'm a newb and this is only my 3rd batch so I'm not too daring yet

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I made this today and I do the BIAB method and somehow I ended up with an OG of 1.048. I honestly don't know what I did wrong and I'm kinda annoyed. Hopefully making the starter will be enough to give me a 5 ABV in the end!

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I appreciate your feedback. Its your recipe so I was really only going to go with whatever yoy said. I read every reply post on this thread and it sounds like a great beer and I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel. I'll do a starter per your advice and let you know how I make out. Thanks again...

    Fruit Beer Wild Strawberry Blonde

I'm making this beer this weekend and wanted to know if I should make a yeast starter? And if I do make one, do I use DME?

    how long to secondary ferment

I am familiar with the process of splitting the beans and soaking them in vodka, but my question more or less revolves around if I am going to leave it for 6 months, should I do it when I transfer to the secondary next week or should I wait until a few weeks before I'm going to bottle?

    how long to secondary ferment

I brewed an imperial stout kit last week and wanted transfer it to a secondary and add some vanilla beans, but I've never done it before and wanted to know time frames. I've read reviews of the kit and people said they let it ferment for 6-8 months. Does that mean they transferred it to a...
